Jeremy Wade has had a lot of close calls over his career. Getting hit in the chest by an arapima, nearly dying of malaria several times, getting arrested on Thailand for supposedly trying to illegally cross into Laos (they believed he was an Iranian spy), was nearly struck by lightning (his sound engineer was), tore his bicep trying to catch a giant stingray, and exposed to nearly lethal doses of radiation in Chernobyl.

I remember hearing about him and his struggles, Jeremy Wade is actually different for going through all that and managing to catch all the "River Monsters"

Yet he survived. Jeremy Wade is a good example that even monsters such as humans can be successful at times.

That's more than I can say for bulk of humanity. Especially the currant generation humanity. Zoomers are garbage and a main reason why I don't want to have kids. And if (god forbid) I have children, I'm sure as hell not taking care of them.

Jeremy Wade has a history with arapaima. Back a few years ago, Jeremy got rammed in the chest by a jumping Arapima. He suffered injuries from that, and the ram was so hard that it actually gave Jeremy Wade’s heart an irregular heartbeat from the collision.

You know I was going to say that I'm pretty sure they don't sharpen their weapons exactly that way in Monster Hunter but then I remembered Whetfish exist in those games and you can actually use their scales to sharpen your weapon. I'm pretty sure one of the newer monsters revealed recently (no spoilers on which one it is) is even based on an Arapaima, like it's not even subtle it has the head and scale coloring. I guess this means that Arapaima are basically real life Monster Hunter monsters. I guess I'll use this opportunity to recommend another great animal channel called Clint's Reptiles and perhaps their video "Sharks You've Never Seen Before | All 8 Orders & How They're Related" or since pufferfish were mentioned "Pufferfishes Are Missing Something Important..." might also be neat.

25:08 the poor bird probably just didn’t “perceive” it as a danger, it also probably didn’t move fast enough for the bird to see it as a threat. That’s why the fish was moving so slow till it was literally touching its feet.

1:35 That my friends is a sturgeon, likely a white sturgeon. It’s a gigs sized and heavily armored tank of a fish that lives in the frigid waters of Canada and Alaska. Thankfully they don’t go out of their way to bother people, but much like a clumsy whale, they have been known to capsize rowboats

Those two things and my mother are what have kept my will to live intact. But these animals? They deserve to live way more than any human and they all have free pass to heaven if they die. Humans don't have that luxury due to our so-called "free will". Humans are an evolutionary write off and deserve to be treated as such when they fail to be useful. This applies for human men, women, children, and elders. Unless they prove useful, all humans are ugly monster primates and losers.
