Not being able to "supercharge" doesn't mean you can't charge the car. Blame the insurance company and Carfax for the incorrect information. They should have been the ones to help her address the issue as a result of their incorrect reporting.

I don't think Tesla should be able to control your electric vehicle remotely unless it has been stolen, and in that case, they should be able to disable it.

They don't. They just control the Supercharger network. You can still charge at other charging stations like Electrify America or Chargepoint.

@@foxtrotwolf6081 yet if one of those stations has super charging capabilities, or some sort of fast charging, it wouldn't work. the car was flagged to NOT accept a fast charge-- it always had super charge capabilities, tesla disabled it ON the vehicle-- not at the charger.

Irrespective of whoever is wrong , the victim is made helpless. Finally getting Media help to get it fixed. She deserves to be given some compensation for TESLA's mistake. Another reason for me to be paranoid of features which can be disabled/enabled based on remote data.

@@Runescapian0wner for sure, but we are just joking that we don't have this issues with gas vehicles lol I think it's just dumb in general, I don't hate electric vehicles because they do have their own place in the automotive world but the more you find out about how these vehicles work it's just a headache and a half that you wouldn't have to deal with if you just got an Internal Combustion Engine powered vehicle.

yep. the only problems I have is that it cost 1500 each time to replace the plastic gas tank that someone thought was a good idea to drill a 1-inch hole into it to steal maybe $50 of gas.

Ive had my Telsa for almost 2 years and ive gone to a supercharger maybe 6 times. Charge at home overnight.

I bought MY 2022 Tesla model 3 clean title, has a minor damage on my experian report and after a service I also got banned from supercharging, I already sent emails and called tesla and no one wants to help me, they say I have to pay for a salvage inspection. quoted me $1.5k to check and reactivate supercharger. I dont know what to do, this is unfair.

Electric cars are not for the poor. Literally, renters and non home owners are not able to install home chargers and if something does go drastically wrong with the battery outside of warranty, the wagie has to pay upfront thousands of dollars.

I usually go multiple weeks without ever supercharging my car. It charges at 30 miles per hour in my garage. That's good enough for me and most people 🤷🏾♂️
