THANKS! Been needing to get to this. Had a dog incident in the back seat 3 weeks after I got the car new. Thought I got it all, but with humid weather I discovered that I had erred. A little more cleaning, and an overnight session with ozone generator, and no more eau de doggy.This is much simpler than getting to the battery in my Buicks. Subscribed.

What a wonderful idea. Gives you space to have a nice nap while you charge up the battery on a long trip.

Is there enough space between the front seats and the folded down rear headrests to squeeze in the detached backseat?

Hey just wondering would it be difficult to remove the front seats as well as the back rear seats. I have two model 3s in the house and want to switch my black interior with my brothers white interior
@mitchellbarnow1709

If only it was that easy! The computer recognizes all of you seats. How else would it be able to communicate seat functions? I'm sure that Tesla would charge an arm and a leg to reprogram both cars. Please let me know if you already did the switch as your message is 6 months old.

Could not remove heater plug. Perhaps they are gluing them together now? I have a model 3 about 6 weeks old.

Sometimes with stubborn plugs I find first pushing the 2 halves together, then depressing the release tab, then pulling apart works.
@The_DuMont_Network

@Jon Osborne The Teslas are pretty much built to go together, take apart, and reassemble. Just ask Rich Rebuilds. Sometimes the catches need to be exercised as Jon says. I've run across this o several connectors. Sometimes the waterproofing binds the catch so you have to push the connector together slightly against the gasket to release the catch. By now you have learned this, maybe someone else could benefit.

I wonder if its possible to fold down only one seat (I see the other one you folded inlcluded the midseat as well).
@The_DuMont_Network
3 жыл бұрын
You probably have the answer by now, but you can fold down either or both sides. The backs won't lie completely flat, this a major simple hack.

Do you know what those connectors do under the seat cushion? I noticed both of my connectors had NEVER been connected the entire time I’ve owned the car. If they are detecting weight or size of occupant and not giving an error message when disconnected I’m a little shocked.
@rdtc2854

I believe driver side connector is seat occupancy sensors, and passenger side connector is the heated seats. I did not get any error messages while they were unplugged.
@The_DuMont_Network

If you didn't pay for seat heat option, it may not bark if the leads are not connected. Do you get a warning if someone is seated in the rear but not belted? If not, plug this one in.
@CFG39
3 жыл бұрын
@@The_DuMont_Network I never got any sort of warning. I plugged it in and things have seemed to be fine. I have a Performance, so I’m not sure why they would’ve been unplugged except someone didn’t plug them in when rushing to build the car.

Is it posible to store the seat cushions in the lower trunk or the frunk?
@bigdream_dreambig
5 жыл бұрын
Doubtful. Those storage spaces are pretty narrow when compared to that rear bench. Maybe vertically in the passenger seat, wrapped in a blanket? Otherwise I think you'd have to take up some of the trunk+rear storage space, or just plan ahead of time and leave it in your garage.

You might be able to squeeze it between the front seats and the rear headrests in down position (at least that is where my Outlander's bottom cushion goes)

@Chris Teasdale, @chowner - Jesus, man, throttle back! There are zillions of these little "how tos" on KZitem. Helpful as all Hell. Saves a lot of time screwing around experimenting and maybe breaking something looking for the key. Some folks LIKE to camp. Nothing to do with cheap, for chrissakes! And @chowner, if your car is in repose, it means it is lying down, as to sleep. You sure you don't mean "repossessed"? And do you have an issue with maybe making a few pennies here and there? See www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/repose, Careful, you might learn something!
