Your video was a lifesaver. I had no idea I needed to pull out the top plug on the push pin to insert. Once I did that Voila! Thanks and keep,the videos coming

I didn’t realize that I had subscribed to you because of your family beekeeping videos, but I actually am more familiar with Tesla channels!

Thx for the details on how the hold on clips work, and how they are removed and installed. Most similar videos gloss over those details, and you can get stuck for a long time determining how to get those guys out.

I need both front and rear mud flaps, so I ended up with the aftermarket one by Nansure. It works great and I still like it.

Hey Mike, great video. I installed mine a month ago and happy with them. Only issue is that they scrape against speed bumps and something against sloping driveways. Otherwise they are perfect. Btw, did I just noticed a small rust spot on the edge of your fender at 5 min and 3 seconds in your video? Check it out. Could also be a leaf or a wood chip. Ciao!

Thankfully it was just some debris. No rust there.

Have you considered doing any oil-based undercoating sprays like Fluid Film? My local mechanic is trying to sell me on it for my MY.

How are this with the humps when crossing?

Others have reported that they can scrape on bumps and sloped driveways, but I guess that’s expected

Why is the hole in the mud flap so much bigger that the rivet?
@mike_carvalho
3 жыл бұрын
Not sure if they are but everything feels good and secure. Maybe the larger hole just makes it easier to line up with any variations in the wheel shroud holes

Thanks for the video and instructions. Do you think that it is really protecting the rear door? Or should I also need the PPF from Tesla? Edit: I am in northeast as well and I do lots of miles.
@mike_carvalho
3 жыл бұрын
I think it will. I don’t think the mud flaps will catch everything. The PPF is inexpensive and easy to install. See my other video if you haven’t already on that

they don't have flaps for rear?

Nothing from Tesla. You don’t really need them to protect the paint as much like you do with the front ones. Try aftermarket

Haven’t found a need for them. The fronts solve the major issue of chips beating up the paint
