Probably at least a week away. Had to order scope bases that fit the barrel profile from Midway. Thinking of putting a Weaver K4 on it that I have laying around.

I didn't think we would see anything indicating high pressure much less an explosion. Looking forward to seeing the accuracy testing. The undersized bore may or may not affect accuracy.

Some muzzle loading people claim better accuracy with a tight bore. We shall see I suppose.

Nice rifle build. They are beautiful looking rifles. You were right, I was wrong. With video slowed down, you have no fingerprints. I think you are a spy working for Saami.

I had my fingerprints removed several years ago. I also take a drug that makes my DNA untestable. One can never be too careful.

Your rifle acts like mine: after loading and closing the lever the hammer returns all the way back to the breech - no half cock. Some of these rifles I've seen on this forum have a half cock position, our doesn't apparently, for some reason. Anyone out there know if this is a flaw or a feature of certain years of the model?
@RealDeanWinchester

Mine does return to half cock, it holds it less than an 1/8" off of the hammer.

@@RealDeanWinchester After having my rifle repaired by a smith (worn ejector) where he had to have it apart he reassembled it as it came apart and still no half-cock feature. I wonder even more now if this was a design "flaw" or feature of certain models? I'll probably never know.

The frames are 100 year old cast iron. I think it will loosen up pretty quick if you keep shooting it. I wouldn't put my face near it, good luck!

@@marklaterza4455 thanks. Strictly speaking, it's somewhere between 110 and 135 years old.
