GAUGE
Wavy Rib - Worked Flat
22 sts / 30 rows = 4″ {10 cm}.
Wavy Rib Stitch Pattern
CO multiple of 6 + 2
Rows 1 & 3 (RS): P2 *K4, P2; repeat from *.
Rows 2 & 4 (WS): K2 *P4, K2*; repeat from *.
Rows 5 & 7 (RS): K3, P2 *K4, P2; repeat from * to the last 3 sts: K3.
SIZING
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4, 5)
I suggest choosing a bust size with 6-14" {15-35.5 cm} of positive ease. Sample has 13" {33 cm} of ease. All measurements are finished sweater sizes.
-- Bust Circumference: 40 (46.5, 53, 57.5, 64) inches, {101.5 (118, 134.5, 146, 162.5) cm}.
The front panels do not overlap, this measurement includes the 2.75 (3, 2.75, 2.5, 3.25) inches, {7 (7.5, 7, 6.5, 8.5) cm} gap in the front.
Rows 6 & 8 (WS): P3, K2 *P4, K2; repeat from * to the last 3 sts: P3.
TECHNIQUES USED:
-- Simple decreases (K2TOG, SSK)
-- Reading your knitting (I have videos that show what I mean if you've never done this before). The stitch pattern is very memorizable and you can tell what you need to do next by looking at the row below. It's an 8 row stitch pattern (each half worked the same) so it doesn't change much from row to row.
-- Shoulder Seam (I have a video tutorial linked for this)
-- Picking up stitches (for sleeves and also for the neckband - video tutorials linked)
-- Mattress Seam (for the sleeves which are knit flat - video tutorial linked)
-- Knitting an applied neckband, it's easier than it might sound. I will be making a video on that soon, its the last step of the pattern so it should be a while til you reach this point. I descibe the process in this video.
Thanks for watching!
