Thank you Sen Tester for conveying that it's way more than the couple hundred dollars in fines. It's really about damaged credit scores and the costs and anxiety associated with that.

Yet he doesn't seem to think these banks need to be broken up? No they are massive institutions committing theft, fraud, identity theft, and all sorts of other white collar crime and this good senator from Montana, thinks "he feels bad about this", and is worried that "this gives ammunition to those that'd want to break up the big banks." Nice try, but this senator doesn't really give a damn, this is a publicity stunt on his part.

"You have united this council and not in a good way." And nothing happens. Shows how useless this whole process is.

You'd be silly to think the issue is their inability to govern themselves...they are all purposely committing fraud...it's in the DNA of every bank and wall Street firm...they spend more time on devising plans to get away with fraud than they ever do on serving the public...and these hearings are a bigger joke...not a single person will ever go to prison for this...yet, imagine the penalty a bank teller would face if he or she stole $5000 from their drawer...the American public is disgustingly naive and keep accepting this nonsense at the highest levels year after year...it's going to be real fun to see the state if this country after the election in November.

I'm not saying that's the defense they are using and if they're going to use that defense then they need to be broken up because of it

Why are they questioning this guy when he will never give any solid answers? Also, nothing will actually happen because of this. it's not like he's going to be prosecuted.

Exactly. Notice how this Senator actually said, "I really think you feel bad about this." HAHAHAHA! Yeh, his company committed mass fraud on millions of americans which made him hundreds of millions of dollars and he knows he'll never see a courtroom. I'm sure he feels really really bad about it. Imagine if I robbed my local bank, got caught and the police refused to arrest me or even take back all the money I stole, because, well, "I feel really bad about it."

Don't be hesitant to go for blood when you know they are in the wrong. I know it may not be the traditional Montana way, but you got to be the Shark for the rest of us. Overall, well done. I wish I could find more clips of you being in committee hearings going after people like this.
