So, the first three were basically what I imagined when you said "absurd guitar pedals." Then you brought out the VHS one, which is...imo, one of the best implementations of That VHS Effect I've run into. It's evocative without being cliche, characterful without being overbearing. You could have features almost any of the Rainger FX pedals and they would have been good for this list. They release some very unique stuff. Thanks for highlighting the Demedash T-120. I never heard of that pedal or that company. What a cool idea. Pair that with the Walrus 385 tape projector overdrive and you’ll have vintage movie vibes just pouring out of your guitar!

I feel like if you found a pedal that sounded tonally the same but then switched to the discman pedal occasionally or at specific parts it would create a really interesting sound. It would legitimately sound like a song is skipping.

That octave effect you made at 4:35 sounded almost exactly like a Gorillaz effect...and it's killing me that I can't remember exactly which song. That pedal seems really cool btw. Also QUESTION: how does it sound if you wear that ring on your left hand? I could picture some weird/cool things you could do with that ring, such as let your singer wear it and let him do some vibrato or something to get the crowd going. Lots of weird potential.

I’ve got a hot hand 3. I figured out that you can add a foot pedal and set it to control the wet/dry mix, so you can control the amount of the hot hand effect fairly easily, or even turn it off altogether. Comes in handy when playing live.

I believe Nathan Navarro uses a Hot Hand to make dubstep bass. He has it on his thumb, so it makes a lot more sense than strumming since the thumb is mostly static while plucking, and he can wah it on purpose.

Was it howard who made this? either way, he no longer works for them afaik. After the owner was killed in a tragic accident (tree fell on his car during a storm), there was much disagreement about who would take the company forward. Truly tragic because they were just really taking off

risingpower Wow, I didn’t know any of that. That’s a shame about the owner and now the lawsuit. I hope they can all come to an agreement. He’s done a lot for that company. I’m pretty sure the DiscMan was his design though. That is based on gear page threads I’ve read regarding the Howard and that pedal specifically as well as his Deep Dive CsidMan video and teaser video for the pedal.
