I somehow missed this when you released it. Some suggestions if I may. Get a Ingersol 235c air impact for all the tough bolts and don't worry about the Ryobi haters, they will always hate unless you use what they want. Also get yourself some welding tip cleaners for the jets, they work better that drill bits and are closer in tolerance. Soak the carb in penetrating oil and tap on it while it's wet with oil several times, if that don't work, make sure you don't have any gas in it and heat it. I have used a heat gun so you don't have an open flame around it, and by using the reducer tip on the heat gun it should concentrate the heat enough to get it out. Just remember it's pot metal so it doesn't have much strength

Hi,Kyle I have the earlier version of that D R brush cutter, it's called the Bachtold Whipper. Mine was made in the early 70s I believe. It works excellent every year I need it. DR definitely made some changes since mine was produced. Mine has a bigger engine, a clutched pulley on top of the drive shaft to the blade, A big rotating disk to protect the blade area. I've cut down small 1.5" trees with that thing it just rips. Mine will never be for sale. It works perfect.

The collar above the blade on my Bachtold brush cutter is to Hold the rotating disk up above the blade. Where yours doesn't have the rotating disk to keep from cutting too big of tree or brush. And i'm pretty sure if they didn't change everything that the nut holding the blade on is left hand thread. I'll be watching.

That bolt on the wheel opposite the one with the sprocket acts as a set screw to lock it to the live axle. The wheel with the sprocket has a ratchet system that provides differential action to allow the mower to turn. The bolt on the sleeve that slide forward to engage the blade if used to adjust the belt tension. You have the light duty blade for cutting grass and small brush. There was a much heavier brush blade available for cutting heavier material. It weighs five pounds.

I Saw one of those machines back in the day the up draft carburetor is a great one to work on the ignition system is the best thing because it is a replacement style of ignition system they' now have a set of air filled tires on them instead of the spoke rims with the hard rubber tire's I had a chance to buy One of them but the price was a bit more than i would pay

Fix the shutoff switch. The thing on the blade shaft should be up against the top, the 3 setscrews hold the 2 parts in place on an eccentric

Sounds like you’ve still got a needle/seat issue that needs to be resolved. I wouldn’t take it anywhere until all leaks were resolved. Just saying. 😉🔧👍
