Awesome! Tbh I never watched any of the Red Bull events because I don’t really like the style throwing so many tricks. This looks so amazing, and I think it will be good for pk to get more appreciation for this kind of movement, combined with a trick - somewhere! Looks absolutely amazing, and I will definitely be tuning in 😁👍

Same, I don’t really enjoy when athletes throw tricks after every single movement. I guess I’m more traditional in that way but this looked fun!

Foot placement. Precise landings are a huge part of parkour that people outside the scene can't really appreciate so adding a decent rail/narrow stride section (the floor is lava) section feels like a good move. Maybe that could just be for the higher levels of competitions. IDK I really like this format. Speed and Style feel like the ultimate vision of parkour/freerunning to me. I'd like to see the flip opportunity bumped up to 2 flips per course but I can understand how it might get harder to judge.

This looks genuinely cool, there's a lot of strategy and depth involved here, maybe it can convince athletes to go more ambi. A great litmus test for the more jack of all trades freerunners.

love this format... it's so cool to see 2 athletes side by side... and throwing an unexpected sick trick in a parkour speed line... it's perfect! I vote for this format to be from now on all competitions... it feels more like parkour than AOM old events where you got that vibe of breakdancing or something, when one athlete showcases their thing... this way is more inclusive for all athletes, not just the ones that can throw sick tricks... only my opinion

I pretty much did not like parkour contests. Santorini was fun because of the setting but the cameras were too far away and flip-happy isn't my thing. This on the other hand was so very much better! More dynamic, better camera angles and access, and more exciting with two running at the same time. I've been thinking that most need more cardio and this setup is going to get them running or swimming big time! Finally, I love that the women got such a great showcase -- given women less camera time is a huge part of marginalizing these athletes. Very happy with this whole idea. More technical is fine but not for every contest.

I can imagine competing at this event was super fun - it looked like everyone had a great time :) However, as a spectator, I personally didn't enjoy watching this competition format as much as a style comp or speed comp. That's just my opinion though. From the comments it would seem that other people disagree, so there's clearly something in it. I just think that it didn't have quite the same impact as a speed or freestyle comp. I love the idea of playing with different formats of parkour competition though, so fair play to Red Bull for trying something different.

I saw everyone posting about this event and it honestly made me really exciting seeing all these athletes from around the world compete in a more casual style. Art or motion is cool and I have loved it in the previous years, but I think the format of this one made things a bit more relaxed and more about the individual skills of the athletes. Not every athlete is going to be great at flips, and while they are cool, they don't highlight the more speedy or technical athletes that also deserve a place in these competitions.

Wow this is a really cool contest format. I like it. I do feel like it still at least here is something only certain people will excel at but I love having new ideas for more varied competitions. I'd love to see more of these. Maybe an idea could be have different categories where each is a different amount or kinds of tricks and focuses more on different aspects, maybe change the rules slightly on where you have to go and what you have to do. Plus indeed a more technical course would be cool. But I really like the idea of having to maintain efficiency whilst also putting at least one trick. Also holy shit Ivan from Spain was fast :0 I didn't see him do a flip though. But I love his run.
