Europe is not america. I‘m not saying that we don‘t have rude people of course! Alot! But i feel like alot of stuff is normal only in america haha. We all think like that.. i can tell if specific videos are from wherever or america again haha. It‘s like how you view florida that‘s how the world or us in europe view the US. As someone who also works in hospitality the reason they may keep reccomending seasonal items is because they are bored (In the nicest way possible) of eating the normal menu on their breaks so the new items make a nice change. I know in my experience my fave thing on the menu tends to be the newest item just because its something different.

I think if you ask for recommendations at a fast food place, 9 times out of 10 they’ll recommend promotional items. If you ever do anything similar to this again, maybe ask them what their favorite food is on the menu. You might get a more personalized answer that way. I always enjoy your videos, Grace. Keep up the good work!

I used to work at maccies and no, we’re not told to recommend the promotional items, the promo items are just usually a lot better than the main menu items, + the McCrispy is just really good. My personal menu hack is during the Big Tasty promotion, get either a double cheeseburger or mayo chicken, extra cheese, fresh onion instead of regular onion, and ask for big tasty sauce instead of the normal sauces. MINDBLOWING 🤩

As a longtime Starbucks barista, one of my favourite things is recommending drinks, but if you’re new/don’t know the menu that well/mentally exhausted/in the middle of a rush, sometimes it is easier to just recommend the new stuff that just released because it’s less likely they’ve tried it before. Also you’re right that it’s a bit disheartening when all your recommendations are ignored, especially after you’ve spent a minute explaining why you think this person would love this drink and then they just order a caramel macchiato like _everyone else_ 🙃 But then for every one of those people, you have a few that come in, take the rec and discover a new favourite. And that’s absolutely the best part of my job ❤

A recent sad event brings to mind an unusual friend from years ago. We would go to a resteraunt and he would tell the server, "Please order for me. I guarantee that I'll eat it and pay for it. You get a 20% tip regardless." Some servers took considerable convincing (and in at least one case a manager's approval,) but he claimed that some of his best meals were got this way. RIP, Evan.

Grace, doctors usually don‘t go out of their way to diagnose someone so you should go ask specificaly and if you mention your symptoms like stretchy skin and the air and jaw thing plus the way you look honestly reminds me of my brother (who has ehlers danlos)i mean the body shape etc that is specific to ehlers danlos or marfan syndrome. They will imidiately probably make a gen test! You match alot of criteria!! You should be diagnosed as soon as possible. It‘s not bad if you know you have it and work with it it‘s important before it‘s to late!! We had the same thing with my brother. Just mention it and you‘ll see even your doctor will take it into consideration just by looking at certain things. 💙i hope you read this! Please!! Even your allergies and everything make sense. I like the premise for this video ... I sometimes ask the server what they recommend if I can't make up my mind ... I think you should try this in actual sit-down restaurants ... you'll likely get better suggestions! Probably things you'd never try. I have flown first-class a few times and it IS really nice!!! The lay-flat seats are wonderful on a long trip. However, the food is .... fine ... better than regular airplane food AND one of the great perks is the first-class lounge at the airport ... free food & drinks, a quiet place to wait for your flight ... some even have showers. If I fly first-class I make sure to get to the airport early to have a meal and relax in the lounge. One of the things I like (that you won't care about) is the free cocktails - nice to have a lovely drink or wine and then off to your relaxing, lay-flat nap.
