Many decent coaches out there.... but you're the best I've seen over the years... especially since you were so early with your system.

Fantastic mix of ski review and technique/tips. I’ve always mentally initiated the new turn by thinking about a 45 degree subtle “shift” of the hips towards the tip of the new downhill ski. Your advice to always initiate the turn by tipping the inside knee is novel to me, can’t wait to try it out on the slopes!

I love the way you mix your Technical explanation, ski to snow interaction, to the review of the ski. Well done.

Good to see you again Harald and PMTS on parade! The quality and style is unmistakeable. Best wishes from the UK - where we ski on plastic matting but PMTS still works very well.

Harald, thank you for your in depth analysis of your tipping and flexing while on the new E-Race Pro. Just a few hours ago I got done working on my two footed releases on a mellow slope with a Blossom AM77 (Whiteout) to finish out my day. I love that ski for more of an all-mountain day but there are better choices for pure carving groomer days. The E-Race Pro has been on my radar. What kind of skier do you think this ski works for and would you label it as a very good ski for PMTS? Also, you're a legend. I wouldn't be half the skier without your and Diana's books, eVideo's, blog, forum and youtube videos. Last weekend I had someone following me and they kept stopping behind me. Talking to her, she said she just really enjoyed watching me ski. The elegance of PMTS skiing really is something to behold and I'm always working to improve to get to the level of you and Diana. Lot's more work ahead of me.

The eRace is a strong ski, race construction, however, it's a great ski and improved over last season's model. I look at ski choice as moving with the technical development of a skier. If you up the ski's performance level and your technique isn't equivalent or not solid enough for a higher-performance ski, your technique will suffer at first. If your technique is evolved enough, and you can make every "Essential of Skiing" strong enough to master the ski eventually, then ski you will be fine. If your "Essentials aren't developed enough or you don't have the basic movements the skis can hold you back or even deteriorate your skiing. This is where a strong coach can help you decide.

Harald Would you recommend the head e V8 for a strong intermediate. I’m 6’1. 185 lbs I’m thinking 170 in length 69 years old

We prefer the Titian, the e Race "non-Pro" or the eOriginal. For a great all-around Head caving ski, we really like the Super Shape Speed.

Hi Harald, I am 5 ft 9 inches with 180 lb. What ERace Pro should I get? 170 or 175, or 180 cm? I tend to ski medium turns and am trying the master the skill of popping across each side of the slope. I love going super fast on blue or black diamonds and the trill of my hip reaching lower and lower. I also heard that next year's model (blue color for Pro) is changing dramatically. Any thoughts on that?

The eRace Pro I have is very strong even for a 170cm, it skis long and is very stable at speed. I would not go longer than 175cm.

Contemplating between the 160 and 165 for the E-race pro... I have demo the 170 and find them too long for me. My weight and height are 162cm/60kg.... what would you recommend? I passed my CSIA L3 on a pair of Rossignol Hero Multi Turn Ti and now want something slightly stiffer as I train for the L4.

This ski skis more like a GS ski than a slalom, however if you can achieve high angles it will bend into short turns. With your weight I would use the Non-Pro which bends easier and has good rebound. Not knowing how you ski it makes it tough to recommend. If you want to challenge yourself and bring your skiing to a higher level by challenging yourself, get the 165cm.
