A versus video featuring Energentic Arms LUX and ARX suppressors would be interesting to me. Also, tests showing how peak dB changes with more/less spirals and shorter/longer reflex mounts.

I'm excited for this! A Raptor will definitely be my next can.

I really appreciate your transparency, and willingness to find and publish the most objective data. One thing I've noticed in AB cans vs others is not just the sound reduction, but the tone is lower, less harsh. With you probe, could you measure and publish the peak frequencies in Hz?

It's really cool that you talked about what specific device you are using to do future testing, I'm guessing that this is the same device that PEW Science is using for their tests. Down range seems like the most logical place to put a third probe.

How about puttiing the last probe at 10-20 yards down range? Can you test magnum calibers like a 7mm mag or 300 wm on other leading suppressors like DA or SiCo. Something I dont think is compared enough are form 4s to form 1s! Its becoming more popular because of reduced wait times to form 1 but the warranty most companies offer are something that keep people buying the form 4s. Also a comparison in Ti and SS would be cool to see, for yours against a competetors, like for instance Dead air nomad vs nomad Ti vs a raptor 4 or 6 stack and 2” reflex, and then go to the L and LT with the 8 or 10 stack and a 2-4” reflex. These could be the things that make someone like myself choose yours over another.

loudest sound at 10 yards will be the sonic crack. It's a constant for bullet size and speed. We have a couple videos you can see it on when we catch it at the muzzle.

A standard for comparing back pressure would be helpful too, although that doesn’t really apply if your host has a manual action.

That's an awesome idea. We've looked at different ways to do this including a micro accelerometer. Once we find a fairly objective way to, we'll get it out there!

@@ABsuppressor I would love to see some data using a shot timer and full auto fire. It should be relatively easy to compare the RPM of the unsuppressed weapon to the rate of fire with the suppressor attached. I appreciate what you are doing with your comparison videos, I agree that this makes the information much more relevant and useful to consumers. You could do the same thing comparing RPM variations to get some indication of back pressure performance to pair with the ear sound level data.

Another tool that helps validate your numbers would be a labradar to record FPS. (X)Db at (Y)FPS especially in comparisons to competitors there's no denying that the same ammo was used across both test subjects.

That's awesome you're reaching out to other manufacturers. There are some who would come up with something completely on their own and call it an industry standard.

7.62x39 196 Gr Sub Sonic ammunition made by Bear ammo. Same Raptor can, but do a Vs battle with a Bolt action and a semi automatic like the AK-47. That’s what I’d like to see. Haven’t seen a quality video comparing a Bolt Gun to a Semi auto.

I’d like to see burn down videos to see how well your suppressors vs other ones handle a massive amount of rounds put through them in a short time

whats the max length of the leads on the probe? Would be interesting to get a down range db rating with that third probe.
