Great tutorial. Also, I saw a Terry White tutorial and according to Adobe engineers, adding the word “remove” to generative fill instead of leaving it blank works better. What’s your opinion?

The effectiveness of AI image processing often hinges on the image's complexity. Since AI can be unpredictable, experimenting with various approaches is often beneficial. ☺

This is so helpful! I am hoping you will create an instructional video showing the various benefits of using varying Opacity with the selection brush and gen ai... for example, placing something in water... what opacity percentages you recommend and what other applications this technique could be used for (skin retouching, etc.).Thanks again Aaron!

I didn't even notice that Photoshop had added this brush tool, it's the same as the masking section of lightroom but it's great to see that they included it in photoshop since this software has more refine uses for selection than lightroom, the fact you can select multiple things separately to use only 1 layer of Generative content fill is going to make the layers panel less crowded when doing heavy editing with multiple layers, thank you very much for the info 🙏

Is it just me or has PShop been adding quite a few superfluous tools recently. This sure seems like one of those

It's easier to add superfluous tools than optimising the software and its current tools.

Thanks for the tutorial. I only whish they would one day realize at Adobe that not everybody has bracket keys on their keyboard 😂 it gets me everytime 😂 Sure the size change of the brush can be done other ways, but still, the f…ing brackett keys! 🤦♂️😁

Using the Brush Tool in Quick Mask to make these selections seems more engaging, doesn't it? It gives you much more control. You can adjust the Flow, and changing brush properties is faster. Plus, there are lots of brush tips to choose from! All you have to do afterward is exit Quick Mask and use the selection. I haven't found any real benefits to using the Selection Brush Tool instead. 🤷♂

That's a great point! Ultimately, the best tool depends on the specific task and your personal preference. Both methods have their advantages, and it's often helpful to experiment with both to find the one that works best for you.☺

I followed this tutorial with the same image (selection brush 01.jpg), but when I use generative fill, Adobe reports that the Adobe generative AI usage guidelines are not met. How come Adobe allows it for you but not for me?
@phlearn

AI might struggle to understand your input. To prevent errors, try adjusting your selection slightly or placing a dot (.) within the Generative Fill text box.

anyone have suggestions for creating generated text logos? a free website or something? I could do it on firefly a few months ago and now that function has been taken off and I think moved to illustrator and I don't have the money to purchase something I won't need all the time. Adobe's already getting my money for PS and LR. Thaks
