To remove the toolbar in the left lower corner of Powerpoint: - go to 'options' - go to 'advanced' - scroll down the right part to the chapter 'slideshow' - uncheck the 'popup toolbar' Now there will be no more toolbar on the screen.

For glasses, the camera angle and screen angle(s) can be adjusted. I have found using reflecting light (off walls) or soft light boxes, help with lens glare. I have bifocals, so that affects head/vision angle. It can be tricky getting the angles set depending on locations of camera(s), screens, and lights. Great question.

Cat - I am a Beta Tester for Rode - started the testing 6 months ago - initially it was technically an Alpha Device - the journey was fun and appreciated - I am learning big time from this presentation - you are not afraid to experiment which helps us all. I have a StreamerX and Rodecaster Pro II - my goal is to have them all working together - I have also enjoyed Tom’s Shows - thank you - Jim

I agree that the RODECaster Video is not cheap, but if you keep the device for 2 and a half years that would be the equivalent of a $40 per month subscription. Then you would graduate to the "free plan." Kinda like leasing a car vs buying. (edit: Oops. I am now at the part in your video where you say this.) The only drawback I see for some is no 4k. Maybe the chefs at B&H were using the OSBOT with OSBOT UVC to HDMI Adapter ($169). Aaron Parecki had done a few videos on it. (edit: Hey! He showed up Live. Uh, never mind, I am guessing this doesn't apply.)

You are right about comparing costs over a longer term. As for the demo at B&H, I didn't see an adapter when I looked, and it seems like Aaron's experience was that it didn't work and then it did. So weird! I'm hoping to hear back from RØDE after the weekend.

@@CatMulvihill Thanks for the reply. Next time, I will make sure to watch the entire video before commenting. LOL! I have edited my original comment a couple of times. I was surprised when Aaron showed up near the end.

This seems like a good deal until you convert to CDN then i think 2000$ is were it willl sit price wise. And that leaves me thinking of ATEM over rodecaster video. But i do want to use my RCP2 with my productions and atem is not he best. Must think this through???????

@50.01 I'm new to video recording and editing. Could you explain how the screen recording process works? Where is the recording being saved? Thanks.

More an ignorant question than a dumb one but can you still do virtual backgrounds if you are trying to hide your own office or kitchen decor??

Reply to the CHRIS DAVIS question - I bought this for the 'replacement' option. There may be issues that are not fully replaceable, however, overlays, frames, lower-3rds, "slides", etc. will help (I hope) decrease some editing and post-production for my lectures. I use Camtasia (can include "screen", camera (swithcer), and audio). I think this will help record lectures with just the output from the RCV and minimize editing -- maybe just CC work?.

I used your video for OBS Studio to build a circle for PIP. Can you do a similar thing in Rodecaster video?

Appreciate your comment, and I have felt that way with some Q&A live streams. She has shorter versions demo-ing specifics -- since Q&As are based on live questions, then you may have long live streams. Also, Q&As can be nice to see how things happen in "real time" to understand the complexities (or not) vs having everything set-up and prepared ahead of time for a video.

Will embedded audio in the slides come through from a second computer do you know?
@RudyCaseres

Yes, you just need to have the audio output on the computer set to RodeCaster Video Secondary.

I just discovered you can add the HDMI sound to the mixer from the console. Once you do that, you can control the levels of the audio from the HDMI source. I haven't figured out how to do it from RØDE Central (yet).
