I have to refill the bowls every so often. It works amazingly. I can get all my brushes clean quickly and easily. I can't stand long due to an old back injury. I can clean a variety of shaped brushes and it works.

Drill bit cleaning attachment is great, it is a life saver for cleaning dishes when you don't have a dishwasher. Also the little thing you stick between your car seat and the center consul helps keep your car clean by catching everything that would normally between the seats and live their forever.

the socks are really just fun, but they do get like bigger dust bunnies, not crumbs but like actual hair and dust bunnies (two dogs, we have lots of hair around here and the socks to a pretty good job getting into corners). As for your pan, a salt, and baking soda mix with enough water to make it a paste works wonders. you scrub it on and then rinse with vinegar! bam clean pan. Do not use it on the top portion of the pan of its a non-stick, you will strip the pan in a second!

Also the piece you didn't understand is for storage/organization the black rubber tips while not in use.

For the makeup brush cleaner you have to do like 5 seconds at a time, but use it repeatedly. It really does clean and dry (mostly) the brushes. You still need to reshape the brushes after spinning the water out. The extra base is to put the little plastic brush holder attachments. I have a very similar one from amazon, but my makeup stained the bowl and it bothered me lol so I replaced the bowl with a cute glass one I found from dollar tree.
