Could you elaborate on why we ought to get rid of microwaves? The best reasons I can think of are that they’re an occasion for mistakes, such as microwaving plastics by mistake - or perhaps being too near the microwave, but microwave radiation is non-ionizing, and only even potentially dangerous at its highest power. That’s as far as I have learned, anyways. Thanks in advance for any comments or clarifications!

I trick I learned to tell if your microwave oven “leaks”: Put a cell phone in the microwave, shut the door. (Don’t turn the oven on!) Then call your phone from another cell phone. If your phone rings, microwaves can get in and therefore out of your oven. Aside from that, and of avoiding plastic in microwaves, I’d like to know if microwave cooking changes the food in a negative way that other heating methods don’t. I do prefer tea with conventionally boiled water rather than microwaved water, but aside from that I’m not aware of a problem.

The problem is everything is or has been stored in a plastic container at some point, even if you buy a jar of tomato sauce in glass how do you know the manufacturer doesn't use plastic during the manufacturing? What if air filters contain plastic glue; What's HEPA filters made out of? There's probably some plastic in there to make the paper fiber stick together. The back end of a vacuum has a HEPA filter that blasts piping hot air through a plastic infused HEPA filter for you to breath in. Low T and high Estrogen is probably the future for humanity; How come all these plastic chemicals are able to stick to the estrogen receptors and none go for the testosterone receptors? It's like the estrogen receptors accepts anything and testosterone is super picky. I haven't read about a single chemical that accidentally mimics testosterone.

I have been carrying around smart water bottles with the sports caps for over 15 years because they are easy to run and sip water without twisting off a cap I roll over and take a swig from one off my nightstand. I also reuse these bottles and put lemon water in them to keep hydrated. BUT I’ve been waking up chugging 20 Oz of a refilled smartwater to realize there were a little mold spores floating around in the water. I’m wondering if the lemon juice is eating the plastic in the inside or what’s happening because the mold is growing like overnight. I think I’m doing something healthy by trying to drink a lot of water throughout the day, but I’m probably harming my health by drinking out of these plastic bottles. I used to LOVE using candles at home and those plugins too. After learning about phthalates and VOCs, I had found that Aroma Retail (Las Vegas based small business and made in USA) makes home fragrances from resorts that are PET-FRIENDLY and without phthalates, parabens, disruptors, carcinogens, and VOCs. Very helpful when I asked my questions to them, knowing that the times we live in require safer solutions. Definitely worth a look if you're making the change away from $6 Glade plug ins and $4 WalMart candles!

The body has natural defense systems to excrete most chemical and environmental toxins. This is not the case however when foreign proteins and garbage are injected directly into the blood stream as with the "safe and effective” programs.

@@TheBanjoShowOfficial Not if you are calculating everything, and not just food. Just the reduction in medical costs alone make it one of the lowest cost ways to live. Then there is insurance cost savings. Then there is savings in terms of less time lost from work due to illness. The savings stack up fast.

Shoot I wish it was easier to find stuff that won't harm you. I need to find out which sparkling water in cans doesn't have BPA or PFAS lining in the can.
