Τέτος (Θεόδοτος) Δημητριάδης - Μισιρλού
(πρώτη ηχογράφηση, δίσκος 78 στροφών, στη Νέα Υόρκη)
Tetos Demetriades - ''Misirlou'': The earliest known recording of the song in New York 1927. The exact origins of the tune are unknown however it's likely that it originated from Asia Minor or Egypt. The word Misirlou (Egyptian Girl) originates from the Arabic word Miṣr meaning Egypt. The Greek lyrics to the song describe the love between a Greek Christian man and an Egyptian Muslim woman. Nikos Roubanis composed the lyrics and Tetos Demetriades sang the song upon the folk song from the Eastern Mediterranean region, although the original author of the song is not known.
Émile Cohl (Émile Eugène Jean Louis Courtet): Τhe earliest examples of traditional (hand-drawn) animation and the short film ''Fantasmagorie'' from 1908, the first cartoon in history by the "The Oldest Parisian", the French cartoonist of the largely forgotten Incoherent Movement, also caricaturist, animator and "The Father of the Animated Cartoon".
