This score didn't even place me on my top 3 spots on the carts leaderboard. But it's my highest recorded game so far. I am definitely planing on getting a video of me completing the BIG max-out (9,999,999 points) soon. Tetris DX (1998) is an "improved" version of the original Game Boy Tetris from 1989. In contrast to the original version the DAS is actually very manageable, hence the regular Game Boy grip. It is considered a proto-guideline version of Tetris that already shows some guideline elements such as postponable piece locking, an expanded rotation system, kicks... It was one of several improved game re-releses for the Game Boy Color. DX stands for deluxe. Black cartridges are playable on classic Game Boys (DMG, GB pocket, GB light) with decreased graphics. Fun fact: The Tetris DX cartridge shows visual differences depending on where you play it from: the first iteration Game Boys is different from the Color and Advanced Game Boys. Then the Super Game Boys are also different from that as well as Super Game Boy 2, that shows yet another version. One cartridge - four different visual appeals - crazy!
The game is speed up 15x because otherwise it this video would be more than 1 hour long. Also, I play from a RIPS V5 mod for my OG DMG. The image is shown on my CRT TV and is also captured trough an analog capture card. I play it off a genuine cartridge using genuine hardware - no emulation, no cheating.
