@@ms.hjohnson6820 I definitely agree and they both are, but with them both doing the clothing lines and music they didn’t give her the same shine to flex herself. The multifaceted can multitask but only to a certain degree because you have soooo many aspects and ideas running through your head you have to often put at least one thing on the back burner. With that in mind, I would have never signed her because she doesn’t deserve to be on the back burner. From Teyana’s perspective I deal with people wanting to capture my light even though they don’t really know what to do with it - just to say they have it. It’s like being a butterfly or a firefly and they’re trying to figure out how you light up so they take you, but when you’re in bondage you can’t do what you were meant to which is be the light! I think both Pharrell and Kanye were selfish in their picking Teyana but T couldn’t tell because she was so damn young. I was more so referring to just the general public, why is she still underground after all she’s done? She’s proven herself time and time and TIME again to no avail. And it’s not because she’s not the shit, she’s just so complex and special she literally goes over people’s heads. I feel the same exact way and I’m “tired of hearing I can’t wait till you blow!” ❤️🩹

If you were to die today, are you a 100% sure you will go to heaven? If no, here is what the bible says, (1) Romans 3:23 KJV [23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Q1. Do you know what Sin is? Sin is anything bad that we have done. Q2. Have you sinned before? Yes or No? (2) Revelation 21:8 KJV [8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Because we have sinned, and God does not allow Sin into Heaven, the punishment is burning hell. What is the way to reconcile our peace and relationship with God? Q3. Do you know the Story of Jesus? (3) Romans 5:8 KJV [8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus = God who lived up in Heaven, but he came down on earth and became a man like us, he lived for 33.5 years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous and therefore framed him on phony charges, and crucified him. Then he was buried and resurrected on the third day; Now he lives in HEAVEN. Q4. Do you know why Jesus went through all this bloody mess for us? A4. As mentioned, our sin is the reason why we can’t go to heaven, and the only thing that can wash away our sin is the Blood of Jesus. (4) Romans 5:9 KJV [9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. According to the bible, the only way for us to reconcile with God is through Christ Jesus’s blood, and not through any works that we do or merits we accumulate, such as water baptism, attending church, or any good thing that we do. The following verses clearly support this. (5) Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. (6) 2 Corinthians 7:10 KJV [10] For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. In order to get saved, repentance of one’s sin is needed to get saved, we need to be sorry, and repent, with conviction, that we are a wretched sinner. (7) Romans 10:9 KJV [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. If you truly do believe in everything you have heard in the gospel, ,I strongly suggest you to make a proclamation to GOD! You can say it to God in less than 15 seconds !Repeat after this simple prayer, to make sure you truly get saved. Remember repeating this prayer doesn't save you, it's you telling God you BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. Ok, here is the prayer : ‘Dear GOD, I know I am a sinner, as I repent, I put my faith, that Jesus is GOD, and that he died, buried and resurrected, so that his blood, can wash away my Sins. I put my faith in that alone to save me, not my good works. In Jesus’s holy name, I pray. Amen! Congratulations ! Now you are a child of God. Download /Buy a KJV bible (I highly suggest getting a hard copy bible , as one day, it will be illegal to buy, own or even have an online version of the bible) and search for youtube channel like REAL Bible Believers , Spencer Smith to help you grow , study dispensationalism to understand the bible ( How do we reconcile the verses in the New Testament that tell us that we need works to show our faith, and another that tells us that nothing that can take our salvation away? That's why we need to study biblical dispensationalism to rightly divide the word of God.( study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth, 2 Timothy 2:15) (I recommend the dispensationalism video from Genesis to Revelations by Dr. Gene Kim, kzitem.info/news/bejne/qH9qqaibfnipgqA) , Jesus in Genesis (kzitem.info/news/bejne/s6Oku5-EjWdmmoo) join a bible believing church. I've enjoyed her in everything she's ever done, from music, reality TV, movies, and dancing - she has the talent and personality of a star! She is one of those artists that absolutely deserves to be hyped, but for whatever reason, doesn't get the push that these other mediocre artists receive. The industry makes no sense in this regard.

If Lil Wayne can do it, it can be done. The problem is some artist don't support their own artist either for whatever reason especially if they only want to remain at the top solo dolo.

@@MsLadyAllure I hear you. Like Empressive said, situations like that are really rare. It's difficult to find an artist willing to give another the level of support Lil Wayne gave Drake, Nicki & Tyga. He was putting in a lot of work for YM because he'd been through a lot with Birdman and he genuinely wanted his artists to win. I can't say Drake has done the same with his OVO artists. Maybe Nicki will do something different with her label.

99.9% of all artists arent protected by those who sign them. Teyana Taylor is talented very multi-skilled but she has to remember if it isnt in the contract then they aren't obligated to protect her. In theory it would be nice for Black artists to be protected especially if Black women are signed by Black artists

And to take it a step further, where was her mom, trusted family member or friend to watch/travel, look out for her? Pharrell and Kanye are in the business of making money. Would it have been nice they looked out for her, yes. But if her family was available, they should have looked out for her.

You are absolutely right, sadly this is the show business. BUSINESS comes before show because if the business ain't right you can't put on a high quality show. I agree black artist should be protected by other black artists they sign too but like the old saying goes not all skin folks is in folks and I wish more black artist would understand. When you sign a contract with someone, they are not your friend, homegirl, home skillet biscuit, cuz, fam, brobro, or home. They are your boss and you are their employee until the contract is over. The same rules apply for any job, sadly in this world, the only ones in this world that are going to protect your check is yourself. Learn from the countless stories of Lil Wayne and xscape and so on. Just like working on wall street or working at Walmart. You can easily by replaced with somebody new if you are not doing and bringing in the money. You have to protect yourself at all cost in any business because no one else will.

I was about to comment something similar. It would be nice to be protected by whoever signs you but its definitely not mandatory. Love her tho

I think it came down to how she looked. I remember 10-13 yrs ago so many comments on blogs like Bossip and Mediatakeout calling her ugly, talking about her nose, comparing her to animals. I couldn’t believe it cause she is gorgeous, always was, and you can tell she has since gotten a nose job. Even in real life men call her ugly, why cause she not Beyonce or Rih or Ice Spice color? I fully believe her career never advanced cause she wasn’t light skin or biracial.
