It took around 5 years for the soldier to actually reload rockets into any launcher that wasn't the stock one. And they changed the animations 3 TIMES over 3 years. All they needed to do was add a rocket model to the reload, but 'NOPE! Too much effort.'

For the Caber, I always thought that instead of having recharge time, you could just make it depend on ammo boxes. As in, it wouldn't recharge automatically, but require like for example 2 full ammo boxes or 4 medium ammo boxes. I dunno, I feel like something should be done, but in a game like TF2, 30 seconds is a lotta time

I want my 6 clip quickiebomb launcher back. The whole point of the quickie was to spam and quick-det the stickies. A clip of 4 really is counterproductive and when they removed the stickies fizzling it's almost like they went against the original weapon idea.

Well, I think the Quickiebomb was fair, as it was useless for trapping. So rebalancing it with the fizzle but adding faster reload might make it good.

I do like these Demo Weapon Balancing Ideas, expect for the Loch-n-Load and the Tide Turner. The Loch-n-Load has a faster projectile speed meaning that your pipes will travel further to easily hit and take out enemies and Sentries and is still a good weapon after the nerf. If they gave back the damage bonus, then I think it would be too powerful since the main way to damage people with pipes is direct hits which was the main reason the previous version of the Loch-n-Load was OP. And the Tide Turner doesn't need to have the crit melee strike after charge as much less people will use the other shields if that would happen since the current Tide Turner sacrifices power for mobility while the other shields sacrifice mobility for power which is a fair and balanced trade that anyone would take.

The Scottish Resistance also needs tweaking, as the crosshair radius of activating stickies is too big and can be imprecise if you want to detonate specific traps (See stickies being detonated upon standing on them when you're looking at a distant trap) Simply reduce the crosshair activation radius to make the weapon more precise, thus you'll have to directly look at the stickies in order to make them explode

Rip the caber man...good old times when you would just go stickyjumper caber demo to kill a sniper dominating u or save the cart by explosive charging it and completely clearing it and clutching it for the team. I think the old caber had his place and his function. Ridiculously strong on first hit but super weak afterwards

you know what irritates me about the sheilds... the names! the charge n targe main atribute is restistance... but what does it sound like It should do? charge! charge better! like the splendid screen. wait... just like the stats of the charge n targe. also the splendid screen looks less like it would hurt some one more than it would protect you... so swap the stats between the charge n targe and the slpendid screen. it just makes it look more logical

The Quickiebomb launcher and Iron Bomber are my favorite weapons to use. Other then the S. bombs looking cooler, I like the idea of more damage if you hold the button down. And the IB's explode time makes it easy to cover your tracks if you miss an explosion.

2 fun ideas I had: Claidheamh Mor- Has an even longer melee range (since it is the largest in the game) of +50% instead of +37%, Replace health and charge on kill to 5 seconds of 25% damage resistance and replace damage resistance for 15% slower firing speed. Longer deploy and holster can come too, but with your changes it'd just be the way it currently is at 100%. Ullapool Caber: In addition to your changes, Alt-fire to throw the Caber.

The Loose Canon needs a little bit of a damage buff. Since you can kill most classes with 1 or 2 well timed shots but a Heavy, it can make it, a bit unfun to use. This is especially true since it has to be changed to fire it. Double Donk the explosion damage could be increased to 100 damage dealt and a slightly faster firing. No so fast that it's Loch n' Load firing speed fast, but fast enough that you have a little bit fighting chance against the Heavy if you play your cards well. Enough damage so that you can combat a over-healed Heavy and have a chance to escape, but not be a straight upgrade. But in exchange for faster firing and slightly more damage, maybe there should be a Nerf to the projectile speed, really just enough so that it doesn't go as far. Something like: +(+)Able to Double Donk! Dealing 100 damage to those hit by the cannon ball and explosion +10% Faster Firing +(-)10% Projectile Speed +Cannonballs push Enemies back on impact -Cannonballs do not explode on impact So now you can kill a Heavy in 2 well timed shots, but you might need to get a little close to compensate. Demoman has a chance to 2 shot a heavy, but now has to get in a little close to do, thus if the Heavy can keep his Minigun on him too, has a fair chance to life too. This way so everyone can have fun and have a bit more of a competitive edge

Interesting video but i think you may have miss juge the tide turner : with the change to the ali baba's charge refill the tide turner will still be able to regain full charge on kill except that you have a charge you have full control on and that can crit like any other shield wich will probably lead to a kill... that allows you to charge again. And even if you charge from the front because of the charge penalty when taking damage you should pass below the 50% require to crit pretty fast and so kill an ennemy that was close to you in the first place. Not to mention the surprise attacks from a corner since it's where the ide turner's really good at but a simple change could help with all that : when charging the tide turner will crit when the charging meter is below 30%/25% . It will forces the player to correctly anticipate the distance between him and his target on surprise attacks and when charging from the front it should not be hard to pass below the 30%-25% since your charge drain with damage. It should help balancing it a bit and made the weapon trickier to use.

Claidheamh mòr: Ad a higher turn control with shields, and make the 25 health overheal as well. Now you have the first semi-demoknight weapon in the game, because the health and turn control bonusses can be used, even when you are using a grenade launcher instead of booties. Ullapool caber: Critt when explosive jumping, less deploy time and a recharge mechanic based on damage dealt.

I have some Heavy balance ideas. All miniguns: Rev Down time reduced by 15%, added 50% knockback resistance while active All melees: Melee attacks now deal 80 damage, any damage modifiers will now fit this new number KGoB: Deals 20% less damage, removed 20% firing speed penalty Dalakohs: Removed extra health gimmick, added +40% switch speed BrAss Beast: Damage resistance is applied at any amount of health, added +50% firing speed bonus, changed spin up time penalty to -20%, added -30% accuracy penalty, added +25% knockback resistance while active (stacks with regular knockback resistance) Holiday Punch: -65% holster speed penalty Sandvich: Small health packs now only fill up 50% of charge In-Need-Of-A-Buff-allo Steak Sandvich: Removed damage (taken) penalty, added -10 health per second while BSS effect is active, added +50 health on kill while BSS effect is active, added Conch speed boost while BSS effect is active Tomislav: Changed rev up speed from +20% to +35%, removed knockback resistance while active Bear Hands: Increased melee range to the same as a sword, added -5% damage while not mini crit/crits boosted (just to nudge players in the right direction) So, what do you lovely comment people think?

Im going to have to disagree with you on the tide turner, I actually feel that the extra mobility (not even including trimping) more than makes up for losing crits. Even with only getting mini-crits, the shield impact damage and then then the melee swing is enough to kill four classes and the next melee swing will kill two more, immediately filling your charge bar for a quick get away or another attack. Think of it as a utility shield. Anyways, as far as balancing goes, I would rather see the charge lost on damage removed than the crits given back.

For those loch n load changes, I'd suggest the grenades do less damage if they explode on a surface, like around 50-60% less damage. This way you're encouraged to get direct hits much more.

The tide turner is the rocket jumper equivalent for demoknight, bring able to turn and crit was OP, which was why it was nerfed. I agree that only mini critting is dumb. To make it better perhaps, makenit so 80-85% of your charge needs to be depleted for full crit.

How to fix the Ullapool caber: If targeted enemy is killed by the caber explosion, the caber explosion is restored Also add 10% more damage Seems pretty balanced to me, all those downgrades can easily balance out the upgrades.

I've got a better idea. If you get a kill with the caber you immediately get it restored and it adds 1 to a Liquified counter (like heads for Eyelander). Each point in the counter adds 10 damage to the Caber's next explosion up to 4. So you start out with a 75 damage explosion at 0 and 115 at 4. It wouldn't be too easy to get going but it could be absolutely devastating if you did. I want to see a demoman wipe half a team by nuking himself on them.

don't take the turn control off the boots. also, make the caber able to be recharged quicker by picking up ammo packs. quickiebomb launcher just needs a reduction to the maximum stickybombs out. make it have max 4 out, and keep its other existing stats as they are. now, it's back to being the offense stickybomb. the scores has 14 out for lots of traps, stock has 8, and then the spam one has 4, making it fairly useless to make traps with. as it is now, you can actually make better traps than with stock, because of the fast charge speed and the bonus damage on charged shots(making them higher than stock).

Heavy: Brass Beast: Turn down it's damage boost from 25% to 10% Extra damage and (Kind of) Balance it with the Move-Speed penalty when spun up from 60% to maybe 40%. GRU instead of taking mini-crits you take 25% extra damage when it is equipped and is holstered for 3 secs and tone down his damage penalty from 25% to 20% (Not much of a big change but it's kinda better this way my opinion).

To my surprise, I'm glad that you thought that some of the other weapons were balanced, so good one there. Charge-n-targe explosive at 40% was kinda op when a demoknight had all 4 heads, soldiers would either need a shotgun or extremely good aim. My idea on it is to put on something like 25% more resistence to push force, like the mantreads, because that means its harder for a class to shoot you and use that knockback to get away. More noticable on FaN scouts, Soldiers, Demos and pyros (Airblast needs to follow that pushforce upgrade, seriously). Tide Turner, with how you placed it, boots with 50% and tide means 100% on a kill again. With crits it was a bad idea, seriously, op, believe me. My idea on it is to lower the damage penalty while charging, as a scout, if he can aim, can ruin a charge as you start, or hit you hard enough to stop it, just a scout. This keeps it as it is, but lets you use it more offensively or defensively, I dont mind it, but that damage can hurt when in dire need. No Scotsman's Skullcutter? 20% more damage but 15% movement speed can hurt, even if its only while active, as it makes you the second slowest class while its out (faster than a heavy, but slower than a soldier). I would lower that to just 10%, making you slightly faster than a soldier. While not really a good balancing stat, no random crits, because that thing 1-shots with a crit except heavy. I've had enough demo's sticky bomb and then get a random crit on me in pubs to make me hate fighting it. Either that, or turn it into a sword, because it honestly seems like a sword weapon (range and stuff). Other than those ideas, good one. keep it up. Remember internet, these are my ideas, nothing too much, but nothing underwelming (except scots, cause nothing too much to do with it) Edit: Put in reason's for changes. Also, good balancing = No Random Crits on anything, cause random ≠ balanced.

I might be late. But: - Make the booties the mobility demoknight item. And the bootlegger needs to be the stickies companion. How? Make it how after breakfast did with the booties, but instead of the melee kills returning charge, make it so you take - 20% less self damage. And maybe some disadvantage. - Make the tide turner the pick demo playstyle, but adding the full crit ability and removing the resistances.

The LnL is an equivalent of the Direct Hit for the Demo, but since it doesn't have damage falloff, increased damage is unnecessary. It is fine the way it is, you can easily airshot Soldiers and Scouts. And having 3 grenades makes you don't need to "shoot-and-reload one pipe-shoot-and-reload one pipe-shoot" everytime you need to kill a Heavy, for example. (i hope i wrote this text right)

Got to do something about sticky spamming. It’s a trap secondary weapon, but people use it as a primary weapon. Explosion range seems to slightly out range airblast range, too. Personally think the Persian Persuader should go back to it’s old self.

What the Claidheamh Mor needs is to have the 15% damage vulnerability from all sources changed back to -15 max health, it got the 0.5 seconds of longer charge duration back, so why not the health penalty. The Chargin Targe should have the afterburn immunity brought back, and just like you said about its explosive resistance, it should be reverted back to 40%. The Splendid Screen's explosive resistance should go back to being 15%. The Tide Turner's damage resistances should be change from 15% resistance from fire and explosives to 25% resistance from fire and 20% resistance from explosives, and also going with your idea of the Tide Turner to allow melee weapons to crit upon 50% depletion of the charge meter just like the other shields (Yes, I like the idea of mini-crits upon 20% depletion and crits upon 50% depletion). Ali-Baba's Wee Booties is fine as it is, no real changes need to be made on this weapon.

the loch n load doing extra damage is pointless. unless it's +25% you still 2 shot everyone except for heavy. the booties should just be given the speed boost back. i started playing in 2018 and i just want s faster demoman. it wasn't overpowered and the lack of a grenade launcher ment you could counter it by getting close with scout. the caber should have a smaller deploy penalty and should recharge over 20 sec.s or be boosted by ammo boxes. then it would be an interesting demoknight and you wouldn't have to use the tide turner just to make the damn thing usable. why did i write this.

I played Demo for a good long while, so I have some strong opinions on a couple of weapons. Caber and LnL: These two weapons were actually part of a set. So I always kinda thought it would be neat if they had similar roles. The LnL I think is pretty decent as is. But the caber... I kinda want a dedicated anti-sentry MELEE. So what if: A. The caber's explosive hit deals lots of damage to buildings. B. It reduces knock back when deployed. C. The caber does not detonate on player hits and deals significantly reduced damage to players. The goal would be to get close to a sentry and destroy it in one swing. Yes, I'm aware of ubercharges. But to be honest, if a demo is ubered near a sentry gun, that thing is gonna go down one way or another. Perhaps it gives increased damage briefly after exploding to benefit the user. Targe: I want the tank stats back on this thing asap. But at the same time, to give it those tank stats gives it a significant passive advantage over other shields. You still crit melee with it, and on top of it, you are much more difficult for core classes to kill. So here's my suggestions for it: A. When charging, experience decreased knockback from damage, but become a mere 10% resistant to damage from explosive and fire sources from 40%. B. Charge does not allow crits of any kind during its duration. But, it will allow a melee weapon to deal 25% bonus damage on a successful charge hit. C. Status effects are passively reduced in duration by 30% at the cost of not being able to charge out of them. The focus would then be on the passive benefits one gets from the targe as opposed to its charging abilities. I always wanted a passive focus shield and the targe would be perfect for that.

The reason for this is because the Booties are clearly meant to be used by pure Demoknights due to 3 out of 4 of its effects require a Shield and it also comes from a Set that is litteraly called "One Thousand and One Demoknights" with the Splendid Screen and Persian Persuader, the former not having increased Turning Control and the latter discourages use of Grenades and Stickies. I'd love for the Bootlegger to be changed that makes it work well with Stickies, and this is a nice start. Kinda like Demo finally getting his own Gunboats. :D And I do like the idea of the less Knight-viable Shoes give more Charge back, and I can even see it being used with the Chargin Targe, which is the Shield with the best Resistances and the only Shield that doesn't have something that lets you Charge more often. So no easy turning or very often Charges for even more survivability seems a good trade-off. The perfect Knight when it comes to straight lines. Heck, maybe it can even receive a Bullet Resistance effect that the Shields lack.

The Brass Beast is an interesting idea. When I see people talk about buffing it, it often involves reducing the movement penalty in some way. But that really kinda takes away what makes the BB unique. Making it play even more super defensive but also giving it like a stop and go offensiveness is pretty neat (assuming the spin up penalty is removed?). I feel like a 20% damage resistance for the Steak would be a liiiiittle excessive combined with the health on kill but anything that removes the damage taken penalty is good in my book. I actually also suggested Honorbound replacing the damage vulnerability on the WS way back when I made a similar Heavy video last year. I think that it fits the weapon very well at this point. The crit storing is also a cool concept and could probably even work as part of a separate new weapon. Heavy having 2 melee attack buttons really allows something like that to work where it might be kinda awkward with the other classes.

Oh shit, the distance thing was a thing with Demoknight? I honestly just thought I was bad... I say remove that finnicky charge percentage shite and add some extra recharge time to the shields. That way they can't get one-shots as reliably as Sniper or Spy, but can still pull it off with some benefits. And make the explosive resistance apply to self damage, so that 'nade or cannon jumping is more rewarding for a Demoknight. But that's just my thoughts, as someone who mainly plays hybridknight.

To be honest, I really like the wee booties, so I think that it would be better if we made a completely new set of boots with those stats. I'm pretty sure that it would make demoknight a lot more interesting.

I feel the caber could have an interesting way of being used if it martyrdomed if it wasnt already exploded. Keep the same amount of damage but just martyrdom after death.

I think the ullapool caber should be able to do insane amounts of damage with a single swing IF the explosion also 100% kills the demo in the process. It should be a suicide bomb weapon

Maybe make the caber a proper kamikaze attack? The blast insta-nukes most classes like it did before, but Demo himself takes 500 damage to the face. The meter-based one just sounds like a crappy Overwatch ult, while this is more of a "risk vs reward", you either die in vain because you're already on your last breath when you draw it, or you're stuck without a melee most of the time if you can't find an opportunity. But on the other hand you got a chance to make a spectacular Med pick and severely wound his combo in one fell and sudden swoop. Plus jihading gibus Snipers or charging head-first with an instakill crit is even more hilariously dumb.

Ok just an idea but what if the booty's gave you reduced push force so pyro aren't as much of a counter for demo but you don't get a speed boost and no charge refill.

The reason the loch n load was nerfed was because with random damage spread it had the potential to one shot while retaining the stick bomb launcher. Hypothetically a demo could have hit most pipes dead on dealing huge damage then follow up with some sticky spam. Honestly I don't really know how the loch n load could go back to it's original good burst damage but less damage overall form while not having the sticky bomb launcher be used in case they miss :\

Claihd should get "heads" on kill or maybe on if and be able to use them on charge for extra charge time like 0.25 second and stack up to like 3

What if we did a new weapon/CLEPELSJANE mor like this? Head meter similar to eyelander, BUT on kill it doesn't give health and speed but rather it gives you plus .25 seconds of extra charge?up to 4 heads that gives you an extra second of charge. And the penalties are 15 less. health and no random crits. it also has the whole longer melee range and holster/deploy stuff. Bam, new interesting weapon.

It doesn't really share thaaat much with a Rocket Launcher and would be generally worse (apart from direct hits, of course). With almost no explosion radius on surfaces, arced projectiles, and a small clip size. And the general stuff like different projectile speeds, reload, etc.

Lock'n'load must have faster rate of fire and\or duplet shot. Becose its double barrel . So new stats must be similar to stock but 2 shots and ability to shoot 2 pills in once or just real quick.

The first change I don't like(like ever from you) Is your new claidheamh mör , just changing it to it's original version would be enough, or have old stats with instead of- 15 hp on wearer to the 15%dmg penalty it has now

Basically like the Loch and the Persuader it could be its own weapon at this point. The only stat the current version shares with the previous (besides the range) is 25% charge restored on melee kill, which the Claid didn't even originally have.

After Breakfast I just think the only problem with the old claidheamh mör was because of its power with the tide Turner, but since it was nerfed in tough break, reverting it to it's previous version would be acceptable

My Shitty ideas Tide Turner-Does less charge impact damage then other shields Splendid Screen-Does more charge impact damage then other shields Booties-Keep the health movespeed and remove the charge (to make it difference then the bootlegger) and lastly make it reduce explosive damage you do to urself like the gunboats affect but worse Loch N Load-Keep ammo decrease projectile speed but let airshots do mini crits (like the mini crits the reserve shooter has so demomen doesn't need to keep his goddamn sticky bomb launcher out to do more then 120 damage) Iron Bomber-More Damage No crits Caber-Increase damage(not by a lot) let it be swapped quicker no crits but every kill is 1 caber but it has to be with no explosion kill (but explosive damage counts) Long ass sword (the thing that got nerfed to hell but i cant spell the name) Increase the range Increase damage no more health on kill every kill you get without you charge crit you get 3 secs of the whip Bottle-Let it break Quickybomb launcher-Decrease the damage make it unable to be spammed Pain Train- Give speed boost while you are on the payload,point or are holding the bomb codes intelligence or jack. im ready to be killed
