Nicely done! Congrats to Shawn! I know that "not airing down" makes for some great video but I have to be honest...I cringed a little watching the trail get chewed up some from spinning tires and digging in. I was impressed with the difference in the traction control and how he seemed to just crawl up that obstacle. Great editing and narration! Love your videos! Cheers for the Beers at the end to celebrate the run!

That trail gets chewed up constantly if you’re aired down or not though. Sean was aired down to 18-20psi. But check out some of TFL’s, they’re always aired down on it. I do appreciate it and I love your videos too! Hopefully next summer we get out on the same trail sometime!

So I emailed the seller cuz he had that one designed for the back window of a grand cherokee, and I paid him to edit it to kinda fit it to my window. Question (for Sean) I have a Cherokee Latitude that I am thinking of lifting. Question is Body Lift or Suspension Lift (2 inch)? I do outdoor landscape photography and just put some new TOYO Open Country AT IIs on it so i can get good traction on easy trails (my Jeep is my bread and butter). Please keep in mind its not a Trailhawk. Your advise is greatly appreciated.
@seanwatson3790

Ok so as far as I am are it is a body lift. The lift I have. Given that it is unibody. Putting the spacers, and in my case the heavy duty shocks that go up into the body , it keeps the control arms down and raises the entire body up . I feel like the suspension lift raised the body as well since it's all flat underneath

@coloradomallcrawlers
Жыл бұрын
I’m about to film a video on the wrangler this week. But basically, since I make trail guides and am hard on my Jeep, I ordered the Rubicon. This is because I didn’t want Jeep to tell me I should have bought a rubicon if I’m going to wheel it as hard as I do (this is if I had a warranty claim… I’ve only had one claim for a broken rear locker in my JK and had no issues getting it fixed… no real claims yet on the JL). Now, I wheel like I have a stock Willys and think it’s a great model. Especially now they put the rear locker in them. I’d say a stock non locked Willys can do 90% of the trails the Rubicon can do. A Willys with a rear locker can do 95% of what a Rubicon can do. Hope that helps… the video will be more comprehensive.

“Lots of throttle” try just a little throttle with a proper low range tcase. This is why things get shutdown
@coloradomallcrawlers
3 жыл бұрын
This trail is an offshoot trail and has minimal environmental impact from high throttle off-road usage. We remained on trail and going off trail is more likely to get trails shut down instead of aggressive off-roading. All vehicles featured have a proper low range. I tried crawling it, it doesn’t work. Off-roading requires multiple techniques and skill sets and this trail required more than crawling.

Probably a bit of both. I didn't want to kill it but it's also about 6000 feet of elevation as well. That's the reason I got the turbo , but it's hard to keep it high in the turbo power band in 4 low with all that stuff going on. I think it sometimes can be a bit Intrusive. Even though traction control is turned off in 4 low, rock mode ( which I think is still the best for that , does tend to cut power some if the traction is loose). I could have tried sand/ mud which does allow a lot more wheel spin but it was just a personal choice as to what the best setting was gonna be at the time. If I had an infinite amount of attempts at it I suppose I could have tried to see what setting actually was best. But I did the best I could think of at the time
