Noooo I’m sort of bummed out, you guys did the wrong Crossroads video. That’s not the actual official video. It was more or less just B-roll footage from the music video shoot, but it’s not the actual video itself. There’s a lot more scenes in the video. There’s a lot of scenes depicting a (presumable) grim reaper collecting the souls of people in and around their lives. It’s a very well regarded video, sometimes you see people get emotional because of it. Regarding Eazy-E, Eazy-E was the one who discovered Bone Thugs N Harmony and signed them to Ruthless Records. Eazy was like their mentor until he died. They did this song as a tribute to Eazy after he died. They talk about all their lost loved ones, but Eazy is pretty much the headliner of the song. It shows Eazy as being one of the many souls that were collected and being taken to the afterlife. That image you see at the end is at the ending of the video where they look up into the sky and see Eazy in the clouds. Very good and video. You guys need to watch the official video. I don’t know if you’d consider re-reacting to Tha Crossroads for it’s real music video, especially since you said this reaction itself was take 2. If going for take 3 is too excessive, then you should at least watch it just in your own free time or something. I’d think you’d be doing yourself a disservice not to. As for Dayz Of Our Livez, the movie you’re thinking of is Set If Off, they did that song for the soundtrack. The reason it showed clips from a couple other videos is because the official music video has some parts of the song cut out. The person who uploaded it just put clips from other videos to fill the spaces that are cut from the original video. Also, I wouldn’t look too deeply into the lyrics. As for more Bone songs, you gotta do Thuggish Ruggish Bone, it was their debut single and it’s an essential. Foe Tha Love of $ featuring Eazy-E is another. Maybe the song East 1999 as well. I personally consider these 5 songs - Thuggish Ruggish Bone, Foe Tha Love Of $, East 1999, 1st Of Tha Month, and Tha Crossroads - as like a 5 song starter pack. Those were like the 5 main singles from the time they emerged onto the scene. I would also say you don’t have to concern yourself with the lyrics too much. Songs like Crossroads have important lyrics, but for the most part, you listen to Bone for how they sound rather than what they say. A lot of their most loved songs don’t have much substance as far as topics go, it’s more about the way they sound and how the vibe feels. You guys like Metal, as do I, so you might know what I’m referring to - sometimes in Metal, people say the lyrics often come secondary, and the primary purpose is the musicianship. It’s kinda like that for Bone too, the way it sounds is what comes first. PS: Keep in mind that these 2 songs you did represent more of the “Harmony” side of Bone Thugs N Harmony. There’s also the “Bone Thugs” side to Bone Thuggish N Harmony to keep in mind. The hard, fast rapping side to them.

This is why 90s rap was so good. There was the occasional fun stuff about them beetches and hoz and stuff, but what made Bone Thugs legendary was they told a story with their lyrics. It gave people from the "outside" a look into the reality of living a life where you had all the odds stacked up against you, and they did it with a musical and lyrical flow that is unparalleled to this day. This was why things song and other songs like Gangsta's Paradise, Regulate, etc. did so well in the 90s - they weren't just songs about being "gangsta", but rather overcoming the challenges of a life that most likely has been an experience of tragedies.

As many have pointed out already, the connection between Bone and Eazy was that they were signed to his label but not only had a professional relationship but Eazy was like a mentor to them. The Bone guys come from Cleveland, Ohio and decided to take a greyhound bus to LA to try to find Eazy in hopes of getting a record deal. They tried contacting him but nothing came out of it and once they ran out of money they went back to Cleveland. Eazy at that time was touring and had a show in Cleveland where they finally got hold of him and were able to rap for him and from that point on Eazy signed him. There is actually only one song they did together while Eazy was alive, “For the love of $“. “1st of da month“ is also a great one.

Bone thugs dedicated this song to their close ones who passed and Eazy E was one of them they mention his name in the song a few times like in the beginning Bizzy Bone says “dead souls, nigga this for Wally, Eazy E, Uncle Charlie, Little Boo; But gods got em and I’m gonna miss everybody”

The first time I saw this video was after my fathers funeral and when the angel took the man on the porch i cried so hard. I was in shock most of the day and the man on the porch looked like my father who had just been put to rest. It hurt so bad. I can hardly hear the song or watch the video without breaking down and crying since that day.

Phil is a big fan apparently. He only did the video because he was familiar with bone thug music and that in itself was amazing.

To help you get a broader understanding of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony; 📍#LayzieBone: he is the lion of the group, the top dog the leader of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony,, his stylistic lyrics are commander in chief 📍#WishBone: he is the heart of bone Thugs-n-Harmony his stylistic lyrics are emotional Energy in motion 📍 #BizzyBone: he is the Innocent harmony of the group, his stylistic lyrics are a bit mystical in harmony 📍 #FleshNBone: he is the big brother of the group, he brings a particular wisdom, his stylistic lyrics mimics all the other four members, he sounds like all of them at once, listen to his solo song called "World So Cruel" 📍 #KrayzieBone is the musical lyrical paraphernalic scientist of the group, he's the one that creates these crazy ass choruses and bridges he was the one with DJ UNEEK that produce the Crossroads and days of our lives and its direction of sound, he would be considered the lead singer in the group

You should give BTNH “Days of Our Lives” a listen or “E1999” Days of Our lives is similar to this and E1999 is much harder with a great flow. 2 other BTNH songs are “Notorious Thugs” with Notorious BIG and “Thug Luv” with 2Pac.

Eazy-E was an artist that BTNH their start in the music industry. BTNH flew home their hometown Cleveland, OH to L.A, CA to meet and play their demo and Eazy-E like them so much that he signed them. “Para-phrasing” but, it’s the jist of it.

The movie is called Set it Off. It's about four women who decide to rob banks to try to get a leg up in life. One did it to try to get her child back. It's really good.

Fact nugget: The original song was very different, this is the REMIX. The original song had a different beat & all different lyrics. They wrote it because a bunch of their friends & family members were dying in a short span of time. After Eazy-E discovered them & got them a record deal on his label Ruthless Records, Eazy-E discovered he had full blown AIDs & passed away very quickly. They remixed Tha Crossroads original song to dedicate it to Eazy-E's memory for their 2nd album on the label.
