Khru Modt. I have been following you for many years now. I can almost speak Thai. Funny thing: my wife is from Hat Yai, and every day she say "mai yung!". Because I am too much some times. But I always thought she said "dont be a moscito".... hahaha :)

5555 That´s funny :-) The tones are not easy sometimes ยุง (mosquito) middle tone and ยุ่ง (messy) falling tone. Just a little tone mark do the different :-)

Great lesson kruu Mod. This is so ironic. For the last 2 days I was asking Thai people for the Thai translation for "none of your business". I got many different responses. Such as Mai gio gup khun ... Too nice and polite and indirect. Your response is much more direct and accurate.

Excellent lesson. Watched the role-playing over and over again because fast Thai talking is hard. However, in the "favorite sport" video I was able to understand everything in the interview, so that's good. Thai have this funny "ooyyy" when they lose patience: "ooyyy! pie gor dai" - I love it :-)

It's cute to see you pretend to be angry and smile after xD Also, it's crazy that Thai people have at least 5 terms for "I", you, she and he :p Difficult for Thai learners. Also when you make the words shorter and can thus speak faster, so difficulllllt.

Hmm, the last school I worked at in Thailand, my Thai teacher partner told me that if I can’t talk to a student because I’m busy to say “ไปแลย” to them, but when I asked the headteacher he said not to. When I teach next semester I won’t use it because I have been asked to teach Prathom this year and switch from English to social studies

Thanks Mod, I enjoyed your role play. You skipped over explaining ก็มันอยากดูอ่ะ at 0:56. You translated as "I really want to look". But มัน usually translates to "it". I guess a word-for-word translation might be: "It .. (I) want (to) see". ใช่ไหม?

Sawatdee ka Khun Roy, yes มัน usually means "it". This word is also used for emphasis by putting after a pronoun i.e. ฉันมันคนธรรมดา I am just an ordinary person. I hope this helps.

In the video "chan" is spelled ชั้น. Isn't it supposed to be spelled ฉัน? Secondly, "dai-mai" in the video is spelled ได้มั้ย. Isn't it supposed to be spelled ได่ไหม? Correct me If I am wrong. Sorry.

I heard it a lot too, sometimes Thai native not use ของ. IMO, it means "belong to", so it's ok to eliminate it and just said คอมพิวเตอร์ฉัน

Kru Mod, there's one expression of "ไป" that I hear quite a lot in some videos. It sounds like เฮอ (this isnt the right one lol). And it's like a particle that urges someone to ไป right away. Would you mind helping me out with that one? I can't sleep well not knowing it. 😅

I always thought that "loy" at the end is similar to "already". So "bai loy" would be "go already".

You might be thinking of "Leaow", as in Bpai leaow (Go already), Gin leaow (Eat already), Aatit tii leaow (last week), etc. Slightly similar sounds but very different meanings.

@@ThaiwithModSorry, I didn't express myself well. I like birds chirping, my house is similar to yours and I love it. But my hearing is becoming hard especially when there's a back sound competing. I tried headphones. But still some few sounds aren't clear to me, but it's my fault not yours. Please make more outdoor videos, the scenery, including trees, birds, wind and colors bring us to a higher level.
