Mate this is absolutely incredible! Not that many like us down that reduced isle! Can’t believe how much reduced stuff was available! Me, the mrs and two kids have had enough of Manchester and are moving over in jan/feb gonna make a go of it! We have been absolutely scrimping for 15 years working non stop to “retire early” living bare bones! Time to start living!

@@RichardStephens-mp7rc Thank you so much mate! I appreciate your kind words! There are so many people out there completely brainwashed into believing you either need millions in bank or be 65+ to genuinely make a go of it! This video today just cemented my opinion that the old adage of “where there is a will their is a way” still rings true! I have every confidence as a family we will be so much better off, both physically and mentally! Great shout on the YT channel idea! Always a option. We’re young so “retiring” in the traditional sense could get old and we are as always frugal and live well below our means! To be fair hustling, and the relentless move forward no matter what is just ingrained in us at this point! I really hope you find what your looking for from the change and it all works out for you too :) never know the world is a small place! Coming soon from a food court near you ;)

@@user-ov4wu1zi8r Yeah it’s all good mate! We have been saving diligently for over 15 years saving and investing practically 80% of our income. We could do it anywhere now on a lean budget but the Thailand option gives us a little more wiggle room and allows a lifestyle not easily matched elsewhere. Granted I agree that being just under and just over 40 is problematic in the short run as we would be relying on multi entry visas and education visas for the first few years. Within 7 years the wife will be eligible for the retirement visa if all remains the same and I presume as her partner id qualify early. We are flexible either way and are happy to travel in and out periodically and even potentially take slightly extended breaks out of the kingdom. Living the way we have over the last 15 years allows us to appreciate how even being able to live without work, eat a few meals out a week, have someone clean our place and wash and fold our clothes will be incredible luxuries for us. The wife and kids are multinationals and hold Uk, Italian, and Brazilian citizenships so our options are quite varied, of particularly benefit if need be is that they are offered 90 day visa on arrivals being Brazilian rather than the 30 most get. Every little helps! At the end of the day what’s most important to us at this point is just to be able to spend quality time with the kids before they grow up and fly the nest and if need be find ways to supplement our income along the way…. I could always find some form of teaching work I’m sure and as a Senior project Manager it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine the wife being offered a work permit if the right work opportunity presented itself. It’s been a long time coming but finally the dream is coming together :)

Thanks very much mate, my channel is hopefully to inspire people to make the jump from the west and get off that hamster wheel. I have a vlog coming out in couple of days that gives a basic cost of living. My average spends after travelling Thailand for four months, it makes an interesting watch for people like you. Don’t worry about schooling/ac and all the bollocks people say to put the frighteners up you. I see many families here that have made the switch. You can easily self teach your kids, the stuff there getting taught in the west now is crap anyway. Google is a wealth of information on self teaching. Wow 15 years, I bet you can’t wait. @@ParkinsonRaw I am fully aware of how it works. Called corruption from all levels in Thailand. My old time friend who lives in the Udon Thani district has been retired and been living there for the last 20 years. In order to re-new his retirement visa every year he uses the same agent. This year he needed another year extension and by presenting his bank book with only 7000 Bth and in reality it was less than 4000. So, the agent gets in front of the emigration lady and slips her 5000 Bth and within a 1/2 hr he gets his visa extended for another year. That cost him 18000 Bth and he is good for another year. How long do you earnestly believe this can keep going on ? Once the Government clams down - it will not end up in their favour to stay in Thailand. They will all get booted out - question of time.
