Very rarely does a piece of video game music from any system grip me almost to the point of tears, this is one of those tunes. Fantastic tune, totally favored!

@scoutfree I've never actually played this game myself, never seen it back in the day, but I love the music, it gripped me as soon as I heard it.

@FlamboyantHardman No problem, I always wanted to upload it but there was a problem with one of the channels being badly off tune but I ripped it manually and so it's perfect now. This really gripped me, it's really nice, I really like this tune.

@Thermas300 Yeah this is fantastic, I love this tune. It's definately one of the most impressive tunes on the Spectrum and one of the most impressive looking games on the Spectrum.

The possibilities of emitting triangle and sawtooth waveforms by AY, mixing of two waves in one channel were discovered too late, about 1988 and rarely used, in practice only Ben Daglish and the anonymous musician who made music for Altered Beast used them in commercial games.

@ShaunDLynn1987 That's the way it's written, the file I had has one of the sound channel off tune throughout, this is the actual version and it's very mythical (is that a word??) and unique and that's what makes this sound out, fantastic tune, Julian Breeze's finest moment.

Great piece of music, easily one of my favourite AY tunes. I'm a huge dragon lover as much as I am a retro gaming fanatic, so when I first found out about this game a few years ago I was like OMG! And it's a really great game, with the Speccy version being the best by far. The CPC version was just another slapdash port of the Speccy version, and I wasn't a fan of the C64 version.

Fantastic music and this is a great game, don't think it got enough praise and attention which is a great shame because this is a brilliant game.

@atrumdiabolus This was well recieved by critics and fans, it's one of the best looking games I've seen on a Spectrum, doesn't look like a game I'd get into but it's pretty darn impressive. The music is really good, this gripped to me as soon as I heard the proper version, fantastic.

@wrestletube1 Well it depends on your tastes I suppose, I love the funky upbeat tunes but this one really gripped to me when I first heard it, perhaps it's because it wasn't something I was used to hearing on a Spectrum.

@Otouto72 I think it needs to be a bit funked up. It's a bit too slow for my liking of Speccy/Amstrad/ST chip tracks.

@xubarze So better be based on the C64 version of this tune. That computer seems to sing the tune.

I understand (and I'm happy) that soundchips in various machines are different, but there are compositions that sound poor on AY. The most simple tunes, like this one or Sigma 7 (also by J. Breeze) benefit on SID's variability of waveforms. Compositions using arpeggio, rich bass and percussion lines sound comparably on both machines, there are also game tunes that sound better on AY - for example Altered Beast or Blood Brothers.

Still sounds a little off key in parts but this is still a nice tune nonetheless, it sounds really soothing.

@potty127 Yeah this is fantastic, it's really gripping. I've hardly played this game myself but it looks very impressive, I've seen the other versions and yeah the Amstrad version's just a Speccy port and the C64 version is....well crap. =)
