Message for viewers of our Videos:
‘Carvings from the Veldt’
‘Named’ Rifles and Carbines used in the Anglo-Boer War 1899-1902.
I would like to thank all the viewers who took the time to watch our videos.
I would particularly like to thank the editor, who is about to embark on a trip around Australia. His technical skills and advice were invaluable and much appreciated. Without his expertise and assistance, these videos would not have happened. At age 73, I have decided to ‘take a break’ and pay attention to my hobbies of collecting and researching these historic Boer War weapons. As an amateur, these videos have been an experience for myself. I am pleased to know that many of our viewers and Boer War enthusiasts have derived enjoyment from watching. The kind comments we have received from so many regular viewers, are very much appreciated.
Books: There are still stocks of my three editions titled ‘Carvings from the Veldt’ (Part One, Part Two and Part Three). Please contact me for details via my website, or via this KZitem channel.
PS: Dave is still avidly collecting photos and information of any other ‘carved’ or ‘engraved’ weapons that were used in the Anglo-Boer War. If any viewers own any of these weapons, or know of any, I would be most grateful if you would contact me and send high resolution images of the named weapon. I am passionate about recording as many of these historic weapons as is possible.
Once again, “Many thanks for watching”.
Cheers and all the best,
Dave C. George.
