I met Vinnie and Dime by chance in April of 1992 in Columbus, while eating at a McDonalds near the venue they were playing (Newport Music Hall). I have never forgotten how down to each both of them were as they put the invite out there to hang out. I ended up walking down High Street and going into a guitar store with both of them. They truly made me feel like I have known them for years. Thanks for putting this video together. It brought back the memories of seeing Vinnie and Dime perform several times, as well as yet another reminder at how short life really is. Rest in peace.

I met him for the first time when i was 18 and he was very cool and was treating everyone like hes known them forever. I then met him about 3 or 4 years later at NAMM and he remembered me hanging out with them all on the bus and talking about music. Not many genuine musicians out there like him and Dime were.

Happy to meet you Chad years ago! You and your band has always been down to earth and value life! Which means and meant a lot to me till this day so thank you for shaking my hand and talking with me. I will never forget that moment. Thank you for giving me that. Your band's, mudvayne, Hellyeah, and Pantera I have always follow and will always follow cause of the music and what you guys have over come. Even though we lost legends in the rock and heavy metal community you guys help us remember them all! Vinny Paul and dime bag are home now. When Pantera separated I was still a child, I grew up with his music, I played several songs of them, almost 2 years ago HellYeah came to my country Mexico, I could see them in the front row, grab his last stick he threw in the show but a crazy attacked me from the back, hit me and took it away, wild memory, 2 hrs later I had the great opportunity to meet them, talk with Vinnie about 2 mins, gave me some pedal tips, because I'm also a drummer, we talked a little about the concert, I signed albums and posters, I was surprised when I showed him a VHS concert in Moscow, I signed and hugged me, what a pleasant memory, a great musician, a great human being, always had a great smile, attended About 100 fans, 2 am, a smiling person and very humble. Thanks for that experience Vinnie, Now the meeting of the cowboys from Hell

HELLYEAH I wish I could have met Vinnie Paul and just laid down a groove for him and just see his reaction. Many drummers will never get the opportunity to tell him how much he influenced us as musicians. Vinnie was my hero and he will always hold a special place in my heart. His drumming on 13 Steps To Nowhere by Pantera planted the seeds in my mind before I began playing drums. Vinnie is underappreciated in terms of drummers. I love you guys as well. Vinnie must have been a powerhouse and it must have been a true honor to share the stage with such a legend. No one has said this, but I think he longed to be with his brother and that is the reason why he passed. I wouldn't blame Vinnie, but Vinnie has left a sonic legend in the annals of heavy metal history. R.I.P brother Vinnie Paul.
