I know this is two years old, but I just “found” you. I have been struggling with Keto because I am cooking for myself in a family of three. My husband and my sister in law are very picky eaters and absolutely will not try new things😞. After 33 years of marriage my hubby is still the same size as the day we married, me after numerous surgeries, 9 stents in my heart, diabetes and chronic kidney disease, decided to go Keto. Lawdy, I was struggling, I need to lose weight and trying to cook for my family and myself proved to be overwhelming for me.... So, I got SELFISH.... told my husband and sister in law they were on their own for meals, and I cook for myself YOUR recipes... I do intermittent fasting 16/8 for now and have lost 32 pounds!!!!! I still need to lose over 100 more and now, I know I will succeed!!! Thank you for being so real and personable.... you and the diet doctor are helping me change my life! God bless you!!! ❤️❤️❤️. Btw, my A1C went from 9.4 to 5.1 in 4 weeks!!!!

Can't thank you enough for sharing these recipes with us, Kristie. New to keto and as a single guy not too hot in the kitchen, I'd resigned myself to fatty cuts of meat and veggies sauteed in butter. I had no idea Miracle Noodles existed (which I now have on order) and now an alternative to breadcrumbs. Apart from already feeling the health benefits, it's ignited an interest on being creative in the kitchen. Thank you.

Nothing wrong with fatty meats, but it is great to have options and variety sometimes. This WOE has been sustainable for us because we've had options and "special" foods for holidays and celebrations. we have cake and ice cream, but it's low carb and infrequent. FWIW, the fellas seem to really enjoy the biscuit recipe I posted and the sausage gravy recipe. ;-) and, I hope you enjoy the Miracle noodles. I was a little nervous after posting that because it isn't something everyone really likes.

Made this for Thanksgiving and loved the turnout..... I didn't use mushrooms because my peeps don't like them. So used pecans instead. That left the dressing dry and in need of more bone broth, so will adjust next time......really loved the drying of the breadcrumbs! Will use that for other recipes I have in mind!! Love your videos

I'd like to make a few suggestions based on the normal dressing I used to make. One I chop up all the giblets and saute them in butter after boiling until tender. (This lets me reduce the amount of sausage, I use sage for the flavor). Next I add equal portions of scallions, celery and parsley to the giblets and allow them to saute down. I didn't get the carb count of the almond flour but earlier this year I was looking for a low carb bread recipe and decided to try the soul bread recipe. that and the addition of sausage, vegetables, chicken stock, poultry seasoning, eggs, a serving will be in the neighborhood of three grams per serving depending on the serving size and how much vegetables are used per serving. Now if I could find a way other than the high priced corn extract I could make a reasonable cornbread dressing that would be delicious. It's really a lot of work making low carb for me and trying to fix high carb items for my wife so it's important to me to make low carb items that she finds as good as the high carb items to eat.

I hate people, like me, who always want to add or subtract, but I wonder if a dot of that corn extract might make the crumbs taste corn-bready? Anyway, I wish you would’ve shown the finished product, or someone eating it! 😂🤣😂 I can tell by that glazed-over look of satisfaction, if this stuffing really hits the carb-mark! Thanks again, I’ll post how it was! Btw, you’re so good - I’m not going to let a few onions get in my way on Thanksgiving! But, I do appreciate your concern!

Hi Kristie, Just in case you are checking questions here, even tho this post vid is 3 or 4 years old. I made the almond bread last night, and I realized, I won't be making the stuffing until Thursday. Should I freeze the bread until Thursday? Or is it ok to keep it out, since it's supposed to be dry. Another option is to make the dressing tonight and reheat on Thursday. Wondering what your and other followers' experiences have been with either one. Freeze the bread, leave it out or make it now and reheat. Thanks!

+Cooking Keto with Kristie - Can't wait to see the cranberry sauce video!! I started to make your stuffing recipe and got as far as the almond flour "cornbread". I couldn't believe how well it came out! Then I got the idea to use that in my own cornbread stuffing recipe that I make every year. I had to make a few adjustments, but it came out as a perfect dupe for my original recipe. It was a HUGE success! All 3 of my kids and my husband loved it! Thanksgiving is saved! I'll try your recipe another time, because I'm sure it's also quite delicious, but there's something so comforting about the traditional recipes we have each year. And to be able to still have it, while reaping the many benefits of Keto, AMAZING!

Hi Kristie, I was wondering if you have tried stuffing this in a turkey before cooking and if so how did it come out? I have family who like dressing/stuffing that was cooked inside the turkey and others who want it baked like you did in the video. So, I usually do both. Also, you look great and I am thinking you look like maybe you have lost more weight and was wondering how often do you plan to do weight loss updates etc.?

hmmm....it should be ok. if it's too moist, try putting it in the oven on a low heat to dry out. I made the almond bread pretty thin and then let it sit in the oven overnight with the light on (which provides a little bit of heat). I'm wondering if you let the crumbs dry out enough. gosh, I'm nervous now. please let me know.

Love this and can't wait to try it! Quick question. I usually make my own sausage to avoid sugar in store bought sausage. Would love to know which brand you use so it could save me a step! :)

I've made my own too, but usually rely on Bass Farm or Jimmy Dean's sage sausage. hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing your recipes. I have just started the Keto life change and was wondering if you have a chicken a dumpling recipe that is Keto friendly?

Hi again, Kristie We made the "breadcrumbs" last night and they crisped up nicely in the warm oven overnight. But...they are extremely salty. I went back to your recipe and noticed you added 1tsp salt in the video but it wasn't listed in the recipe below. I added that 1tsp salt and was thinking that with the salted butter, broth, sausage, and baking powder, maybe that was just too much sodium?I am going to remake the crumbs tonight and omit the 1tsp salt and maybe use half Unsalted butter. Just wanted to let you know of this discrepancy. I will let you know how the 2nd batch comes out. I am having fun with all this though. Thanks again for the recipes for Thanksgiving!

hmm....I'll need to correct that and add a note about the broth. the homemade bone broth I use needs salt. if you're using a commercial broth, I'd bet it's full of sodium. I never considered that!

With the stuffing do you grease glass baking dish for bread and then for the stuffing when you bake it

Thanks for this. I'm farming chicken of the woods mushrooms that won't be ready until next year, I'll have to remember the recipe for then :)

I haven't done it yet :) I bought some spore-infused wooden plugs from a mushroom farmer and sacrificed a couple of small trees in my woods to have fresh stumps for them.

Great video, but you should show more finished dishes out of the oven after they are done. Show Us The Goodness !!

I live in Ontario Canada and have just gotten into the Keto diet, with the exception of having to add 7 to 10 cups of veggies daily due NAFLD non alcoholic fatty liver disease. I miss bread so much. But am new to this almond flour and coconut flour . Where do you get it? Is it expensive ? Also can you use coconut sugar instead of these sweeters you list in other videos ? I am allergic to sucrin and other artificial sweeteners. And find Stevia has an after taste like other artificial sweeteners do.

I find it impossible to cut and paste from the description area of youtube and so I am in the very sad position of not being able to keep your recipes (I usually use the paprika app, but can create a recipe through cut and paste if needed). I can't find this one anywhere on your site :-(

Hi Kristie,I made the "breadcrumbs" tonight and the batter was thick like paste and definitely not pourable like yours. I followed your recipe carefully and reviewed to make sure I didn't put more of anything in than listed. What happened?I ended up putting parchment paper on a cookie sheet and spreading it around to thin it with a rubber spatula. We just put it in the oven, will let you know the result.I am so excited to present this dish on Thursday.

the batter will be thick. don't worry about that. it also doesn't have a lot of flavor without the sausage mix. it's just intended to be bland crumbs. I hope it turns out well!
