The older I get, the deeper my love and appreciation for this series gets. It beautifully captured everything about the 90s. The script writing was perfect, the cast were perfect. I absolutely adore This Life

DO you not think that in the first series the script was pretty weak???

The show of the 90s. The cutting edge camera pans, the mild drug taking…the trip hop of the best album Dummy, Portishead! Remember watching the last episode season2 with friends. One of many reasons I went to Bristol Uni ‘97 because of this cult status.

This Life still remains to this day one of my favourite ever shows but This Life 10 was poor. A silly concept with still so many unanswered questions.

The documentary was more entertaining than the travesty of the tenth anniversary episode, yet it wasn't even included as an extra on the DVD release

Incredible actress. I'm always surprised she didn't go on to do more and be bigger.

Just watch it, as Iplayer has the whole series on there at the moment. I have to say it was a misfire. Whilst I was happy to see the old cast back - it didn't work.

Does anyone remember the documentary called 'This Life, That Girl' made about Amy Jenkins. BBC I think around 1998?

20 something professinals in London flat shares, it was an absolute nightmare. I got so fed up with it that I bought my own flat at 23.

Yes, and I bought one at 22 in the late 2000s. Beat you.

@@BroskiRIP The final straw was when in a flat share I got a French guy banging his fist in the morning on the bathroom door. And some girl who was a bit of a moose who hung around with black guys and never paid any bills and got them to burn the Dutch blokes land line telephone cable going into his room as she left. Just horrible, horrible. This was in Camden Town

I saw the first and second season way back in the 90s... The first season was...well not very good the script was terrible. I remember there were lots of 'in trend' references to football as it had become really popular in the 90s since the negativity of the 80s, and the script just seemed generally very weak - as if they tried to not only capture the 'off the wall' visual but the 'off the wall' conversation as well. .... - The second season was better - What I remember about it was is was really 'current' - music, fashion, language... it was all then and there at the time - Whatever music that was in the charts was in the show.... I actually moved to London and worked in a laywers film in 1996.... to find out that.... London was only enjoyable if you were earning a lot of money and that the house they were all shared would have cost thousands and thousand to rent:)))))) hahaha

This Life +10 was not quite as hot and furious as the original series. Time had elapsed, actors had grown older and times had been a-changing before the reunion took place, so it was bound to have a different feel to it. Although it's not a masterpiece, it does work as a standalone, one-off reunion, the acting was superb, they really nailed it on the head, which is quite difficult to achieve, getting back to the tone and psychology of characters so ingrained in the audience's memories. So yes, as a whole it didn't wow anyone, but to my mind, this special "film" was cruelly riveled, it didn't deserve such panning, out of order. It would be great to have a whoe new series, these are interesting, three-dimensional, fully fleshed characters. I, for one, would love to see their take on the woke mentality, the chaos of pandemics and how they tear Trump apart, no name a few...

Original was immense. The +10 thing was sooooo boring and the Scottish chick went from hot to mediocre.
