OFPR / ARMA CWA does have inventory management, though the screen is a bit different between the PC and Xbox. The AI overall is actually some of the best that's been made. It actually aims in a realistic fashion, it can navigate decently well on land, air, and water with whatever vehicle, it gains and loses knowledge of the other entities in its environment, etc.. Most of the problems like movement are down to other deficiencies like animations.

why red hammer wasnt included was because it was made by codemasters so it ends up being a rights issue, but funny thing is i did have op flashpoint originally on the pc and the elite version brought back some memories

Operation Flashpoint Elite Aug 12 2005 is better in my opinion. I do not know why they didn't go that route. It would have been awsome. If one has not seen it, Check it out. It totally blew my mind seeing how cool the prototype version is compared to the released Oct 28 2005 version.

This is how I got into the Arma series ironically enough, and it was pretty crazy to have all those features back then. I remember people looked over it because of the jank that comes with all Bohemia games and couldn't get passed it. Shame really because it was really a fun game, especially with friends! Great video btw! I was pretty surprised to see it pop up, mainly because I haven't even thought of this game in 14+ years

@2:58 Rockstar used be famous for this, the PS2 got so many, many titles that were originally only made to test out mechanics and minigames for San Andreas and GTAIV. And they're pretty decent games, too.
@Bendilin
Жыл бұрын
Nintendo also did this a little bit, but mostly for the original Nintendo DS (and mostly due to their uncertainty when originally releasing the device). Except instead of releasing original new IPs, they typically crammed Yoshi into the titles or some other license, like Chibi Robo, and unlike Rockstar, knowing that their mechanic wasn't going to be used in anything major, Nintendo's devs typically half-assed and farted something out so they could focus on working on something else, ultimately just watering down the overall quality of a lot of their own franchises. Specifically Yoshi.

SOCOM: US Navy Seals released on a console in 2002, though it wasn't a port of a PC game but made directly for the PS2, it still predated Mass Effect's Kinect update allowing you to give your NPC squad members actual voice commands by a decade. The only thing to come anywhere close to the SOCOM titles for me are the SWAT games. It was crazy, just like with the DreamCast, the PS2 would connect to a website and from the website you would select your server or what you wanted to do. SOCOM was hosted by GameSpy so you got this ugly neon green on black website to connect online with with a giant GameSpy logo in your face. SOCOM, as far as I remember, lacks the ability to make custom missions though, let alone custom anything.
