My brothers was out of Groton ssbn and ssn at 12 I went on a tiger crew's! Yeah I joined the navy. I was on air carrier went to the gulf War. We can't talk about what happened overseas, you just come back and start over! It really changes everything around you! I'm not looking for pity, the next time you see a veteran please tell him I appreciate your service!

Submariners---probably on of the most well trained--got your back--smartest -- dedicated bunch of crazies-officers included--that you will find in the military....I would go back to it in a heartbeat---great humans---GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU ALL!!!!

Correction. Only limit on Ohio-class deployment is FOOD. It makes its own fresh water very easily.

have spent near 30 years on subs in the uk , early boats were polaris then moved to hunter killer attack and finished on trident . as an engineer mainly look after the propulsion side of it and the big dust bin ( nuclear reactor ) been left a while now as well into my 60s . i have a more pressure induced job now ... coping with the wife ............... ha ha

After development of the expensive Sea Wolf class, I recently learned that of the original 3, that only 1, the Jimmy Carter, is still operating with the SeaWolf & Connecticut providing spare parts? What a waste!

:15 the Virginia class carries on the legacy of the Los Angeles class NOT the Ohio class. The Columbia class will be the Ohio's legacy.
