Few things bother me more than when a person is pretty universally considered talented at something, then we find out they are history’s greatest monster and suddenly all their work was actually trash the whole time. At the same time I don’t want him to get work as a voice actor anymore because he’s a horrible, unrepentant creep.

That's something I've never liked about when people are exposed. It's so common to see people say "I knew something was off about them" or anything along that line, but rarely does it actually have to do with what they were exposed to. It bothers me because it just shows that many of these people are making assumptions based off of something likely arbitrary and then justifying such judgements if it turns out that they were bad for something else.

Yeah. Murderers are extremely rare per capita and as a neurodivergent person it is a formally studied effect that I'm going to give allistics the uncanny valley feeling in some way or another. My thoughts exactly. They seem to dislike someone for rather trivial things and then rejoice when said someone is exposed just because they can use it as validation for their feelings and dislike. Like apparently you can't dislike someone for no reason and god forbid the reason may be out of jealousy or a 'eat the rich mentality', it has to be that you are morally right and justified in disliking them. It sickens me that a crime was exposed with literal victims involved, and the first thing people care about is 'I told you so' and 'I knew from the beginning' and patting themselves on the back.

I have quite a few of these actually. lol I have a word document on my desktop of youtubers I don't subscribe to for one reason or another but periodically check back in on to see if they've uploaded anything interesting. Whether that be because I don't like the majority of their content but occasionally they release something really good, or because I only like to watch them sometimes/if I'm in the mood, or their personality or style is just annoying in some way and I can't handle too much of it,, or whether I just don't like them but can't explain why, but do enjoy their uploads sometimes.

yeah that's very annoying. they could've just do another voiceover take for the proper pronunciation, had a google translate voice say it, or at least write "sorry if i might have mispronounced this" on screen and try their best to pronounce the word/name. the only exception for this dumb mishap (at least imo) is when they turn the mispronunciation thing into an unintentional joke for the video

I’ve had it happen to me more than once that I’ve had a weird feeling about a KZitemr only for them to turn out to either kill someone or end up being a piece of trash behind the scenes. I’m not saying I have some ability to detect degenerates, but it has happened to turn out to be true more than it ends up not being true. Maybe I’m secretly a TV show character in their years before the main story had started and I’m going to end up in some procedural cop show in the future.

@@TheIdiotFr0102 he’s criticism is too shallow and surface level, reminding me a lot of Nostalgia Critic in the worst way. Combine that with his conservative leanings and viewpoint on said criticism (which isn’t inherently bad, some critics can have some form of bias while others try to play it neutral) and you end up with a weirdly misogynistic double standard view on movie roles and characters. Like saying women can’t inherently beat up men because “they are genetically smaller and have less mass/shorter bones and limbs than men”, so a fight between a man and woman in real life is “unrealistic”. Also, women are not allowed to kick butt or be stoic for that makes her a Mary Sue Hollywood woke try hard, but a man being able to kick butt and be stoic is good for a male character? Aside from script of video essays I hate it when a video essay I’m interested in is ruined from editing, whether cause its wildly over edited (like title sequences/segment transitions that are absolutely not necessary, Especially when the videos not even long enough to warrant them) or because the background music is just slightly too loud, or there’s noticeable microphone problems.
