Your progression is definitely an inspiration to a lot of people, including myself, and I had an 8:45 pr before my first year of cross country (it was this year, and I'm a freshman) and ended up with a ~6:35 which I find crazy, I'm definitely motivated to keep improving and good luck with whatever endeavors come your way as well!

@@aleksytherunner9267 4:15 is a great time to aspire to. My son, Archer Holston, ran a 4:35 as a freshman last year and I always worry he's going to "top out", but so far he's improved every year. Hard work pays off. We are in Ohio. I didn't see any of your 5k times on Milesplit. Do you do a different sport in the fall?
@aleksytherunner9267

@@gergnotsloh I do XC in the fall, but for a different school, which is likely why it does not show up on Milesplit. Nevertheless, they are not worth looking at, my track times are much more competitive than my 16:56 5k PB

@@aleksytherunner9267 16:56 is not bad by any means. It does seem like a lot of kids are better in one or the other though for sure. My son's XC PB is pretty close to yours as well. For whatever reason, the 1600 seems to be his event. I'm sure you will be getting some good scholarship offers coming your way.

If you don’t mind me asking, what foods did you eat to gain the weight you wanted to, also on a side note, did you ever occasionally eat sweets or junk food once in a while? Also, what calisthenics workouts did you do, and how much of them did you do? And how many times a week did you do calisthenics?

I was a sprinter and never took it seriously. I ude to do 5ks for fun whenever events happened in my country (Bahamas). I decided to go against my coach and do the 1500m in february of this yr 2024 which i came 6th out of 10 with a time of 5:09. I then switched coaches and now have been training all summer. I hope to run a sub 5 mile and sub 5 1500m. I literally started training in July so yeah. I hope to do well
