I just have to say, I think Dragon Azure darts have to be my favorite half length darts. They are made of a unique non bendable material that doesn't warp or deform like regular foam. They are way more durable than anything I have ever fired out of the barrel of a nerf gun and they just look cool. They are much more expensive but considering how long they last compared to regular foam darts I think they're worth it. Everyone knows foam darts that get too warped can cause jams and I've never had that issue with the dragons. They do have issues when loaded into the 50 round static dram used in the Dart zone Tomcat, but they work great in virtually every other half length dart clip I've used. I was surprised though how accurate they turned out to be despite being significantly lighter than the standard foam dart. Based on what I've seen if I end up ever getting more darts I'm going with the Azure Dragon. I don't have anything approaching the FPS that Bradley has so I doubt I'll ever blow any heads off. The only darts I've had that issue with were Jet Blaster darts, they appear to only be rated for around a hundred FPS anything more and the heads pop right off after extended use. I ended up super gluing all the Jet Blaster heads to new foam bodies I recovered from some old full length darts I had laying around after doing that they never popped off again.

What this is telling me is that these new darts are indeed the most effective. Starting from a grouping standpoint, the highest performance was with the Max darts shot from the Swin. The grouping advantage was highly noticeable on the vertical and even looked to be tighter on the horizontal. Let's add the Dragon darts to the mix: the grouping is very similar and possibly even in Dartzone's favor. And you also get to keep the darts. And that's even being shot from the Sabre, where Dartzone's spread is tighter once you lower the range just a little. Yes, the FPS difference is noticeably hurting the Max Dart's performance with this setup, but only because the FPS constraints limit the dart shot through this particular Sabre setup and at this extreme range. Using the Swin setup, the Max Dart is catapulted into 200 ft ranges, the exact same range of the Bamboo darts on the Sabre! So there is no real advantage to these Bamboo darts at all, unless you only want to use setups that similarly handicap the Max dart's performance and want that tiny boost that the Bamboo would give you. The Max dart is certainly not much handicapped even in this build.

very intresting video. Good, i skipped the 2 accurancy shot parts (and just looked at the conclusions there), but it seem, that it happens again: somone is calling themself #1, but aren't that (un the range from +250 fps up). the only blaster, where that would be really good is a blaster, what i just use for accuracy (range might be even a thing, but that is something, what i might need to explain maybe later) - so, i even would use the other darts (had more or less the same darts here, but a different short-dart blaster - and not a scar, 'cause i didn't have buyed / made one) for different blasters - like the Gen 3 for the Worker nightingale (cause we play often with a cap of 130 fps - 'cause of safety, and even close distances), so it would be nice to see how at least worker bamboo, as even Worker Gen 3 and the dartzone-darts (acc and dragon darts aren't that good, 'cause of the foam for the dragon darts as even the hard tips on the acc) in a blaster with less than 150fps. the only thing what here might be intresting is just the speed and later the range - accuracy would be not really work, i guess (cause slow darts go theyr own ways). as seen from a few comments, you don't had such a "low" blaster, but i'll look forward 'cause that would be intresting (especial here in germany, where blasters don't had more than 100fps, due to the laws).

I’ve been very much enjoying the worker bamboo darts consistency however the two boxes I have the heads fly off pretty easily. Over half the ones I shoot the heads come off but it could be just a bad batch. I do like the way they shoot and will most likely continue to buy them.

I wonder if worker would start using ACC style tips, maybe with metal powder inside the rubber to boost overall weight. I also wonder how much you would gain from a little plug of hot glue or metal ball in your dart to boost weight, and I wonder how much added benefit you would have from putting segments of plastic or cardboard straw inside the backs of your darts.

I got a box of the workers with the glow foam. they seem to be softer than the original gen 3. I know the will not shoot in my colonel wasp 76.jams everytime. My new favorite is the the worker gen 3 with glow tip. But here in the USA just go online order up the dart zone max and pick them up at target you can get them for 12.50 and sometimes on sale for 8,50 for the 150 pack so those are for when you want to waste a few.outside.adevture force are ok for a few shots but when you're hitting stuff at 220+ fps they get soft real quick start slowing down.

Yeah I got some of the glow in the dark ones. The foam was really vulnerable to wear, when I used them twice they wouldn't seal right and got horrible fps results.

I also have some red foam standard Worker darts and they do feel nicer than the glow ones. Fps is lower than bamboo, I'd say accuracy is around the same.

Would love to also see test with lower fps ranges and different barrels (brass, worker, yadda). For whatever reason for example my spamf utterly detests worker Gen 3 darts, but hilariously if you swap the spring for a strong one it suddenly changes its mind preferring worker or DZ rubies. Though I think at this point you are probably sick of testing darts 😂
@BradleyPhillipsYT

To be completely honest with you, my motivation for doing this testing video was so that I'd know what dart to use for myself. While I wouldn't rule out the idea of a low fps version of this test, I have better videos coming up that appeal far more to my own curiosity than anything low fps does. First I'd need to obtain something that's designed to shoot that low efficiently and consistently, requirements which none of my current blasters are capable of meeting even if I did drop the spring down lower. I do wonder how necessary a lower fps test is though, because surely higher fps is just amplifying faults that are already there.

@@BradleyPhillipsYT I guess it depends on whatever my spamf is doing, which is still baffling to me, probably the metal barrel Gavin sells being picky. I think barrels (brass 13mm, 14mm, etc) are probably the biggest variable that you might have not accounted for yet, but that’s probably getting too exhaustive now!

And you ignored possibly the largest section of the market. No flywheeler? And they ARE #1, when it comes to sales, so their claim is still 100% correct. I also absolutely refuse to use Worker darts, because I've had multiple people demand I use only them, and fark them.
@BradleyPhillipsYT

Flywheelers are by no means the largest section of the market anymore, as of a poll back in (I think 2021?) more Nerfers are using springers than flywheelers. Plus I currently don't even own a flywheelers myself. The accuracy is so horrendous with flywheel blasters no matter what dart you use. But generally you want a dart where the tip is as wide as the foam so the flywheels can grip it better and none of these meet that criteria.

Thorough, but perhaps not overly relevant to most. I think it's safe to assume that the vast majority of Nerf players don't use blasters with anything like the speed and power of yours. You're pushing the limits of the materials that make Nerf darts what they're meant to be. They simply aren't optimally designed for high speed and accuracy. Traditionally, Nerf has always been a relatively cheap family activity with kids and adults having fun in small areas without the "seriousness" and pain of paintball or airsoft. Nerf don't do anything like 300fps products for a reason. I think you've lost sight of that simplicity. 🙁

@@BradleyPhillipsYT I stand by my Comments. The "hobby" seems to be relatively small, and it also seems many people don't use equipment like yours. I've looked online at hobbyist groups and games, and overall they seem to be pretty few and far between, apart from a few 'hotspots' where it's clearly more popular. Just because a minority play with high powered blasters in organised events, doesn't mean it's a good thing for nerf in general. Unfortunately, some "hobbyists" are excessively, and disproportionately vocal on KZitem and such like about how 'nerf' should evolve to suit them. 🙄
