Agreed. A good man will walk, if he feels he can't help heal you and your gonna abuse and direspect him. Men like happy women who helps him stay happy and strong. A lot of damaged woman will self sabatage the relationship because they aren't use to being loved properly and they are afraid it will end with him hurting them anyways 😔.

This is what happened to me once. I went out with a girl and thought everything was fine but until i found out she was talking to too many of her exes. I tried to let her know how i feel about that but she continued to brush it off. I was then the first to want to end the relationship but she lied about wanting to make changes and not long after i gave her a chance she decided that she wanted to take a break and still be friends. It’s heartbreaking, but that’s how life is. It’s made of the good, the bad, and the ugly. I simply hope if there’s someone out there for me, I can recognize him when he comes along. I find these types of situations happen to woman who can't be alone, the ones that always have to have a boyfriend. When you get out of a relationship especially a bad one you need to take some time for yourself. First of all you need to grieve and when you start feeling better do sonething; get a new hairstyle, go to the gym, hang out with your friends, see a councelor, do something to further your career, just do some positive things and find your happy. You really do need to learn to love yourself and be comfortable with yourself before you can give your all to someone else.

Honestly, we as women need to take responsibility for the mess we do and allow to go on in our relationships. We stay with men we know don’t mean us any good. When we had enough or he leaves us, we walk around bitter instead of using it as a learning lesson. Then we take our baggage into the next relationship. And the cycle continues. We have to stop jumping into relationships when we know we are not healthy ourselves. Because we can cause damage to a good man the same as damage is caused to a good woman.

Very true....currently learning it the hard way. My past relationship included a lot of banter back and forth that started out as fun and flirty but eventually turn toxic and disrespectful. I realized that I carried this teasing into my new relationship along with a ‘Ill never let someone that close to me again’ attitude. Our constant, consistent arguments are about our communication or how I talk to him and how he feels like he’s not being validated. I feel he’s being overly sensitive most times. I’m not sure how to compromise where I don’t always feel like I’m going to lose myself again - I’ve become very selfish and don’t know to turn it off....sry for the long ramble. Great video....right on time.

Totally agree! When needs aren't met, it will not work (especially not in the long-run). This is why it's so critical to ask the right questions when dating and get as much as possible lined out. Sometimes many people don't know what their needs are before dating, and many times end up in the wrong relationship (for them).
@RicheysCoaching
5 жыл бұрын
Arielle Edwards needs don’t change if you know yourself fully, but your wants change for sure. The same goes for your values, you need to know them prior to getting into a relationship because let’s face it, most relationships end because you don’t have the same values. And yes I agree, communication is the key part; however, many struggle so hard to communicate without attacking their partner because over time they have subconsciously developed their needs and wants because they didn’t know their foundation originally.

Online dating can create paranoia, suspicion and over-protectiveness too. There’s so much terrible behaviour out there, and lying, that one can become very guarded. Some guardedness and caution is required for self-protection, naturally. But it’s a fine line to walk and not become hostile and scare the good men away. Learning from every bad experience, trusting your instincts and moving forwards with an attitude that gives a new person a fair chance is difficult sometimes. BTW, your videos have been some of the most useful I’ve seen and are very helpful. Thanks for your no BS and straight forward way of putting things. Love it

Men need to check unacceptable behavior from immediately and verbalize the consequences of such behavior . Do not be afraid to give women ultimatums if necessary. Do not be afraid of communication that’s uncomfortable. Do not be afraid of communication that holds women accountable. Do not be afraid of communication that makes consequences of their actions crystal clear. Lastly, do not let her shame or vilify you for 'patronizing' her for communicating your expectations that she knows are fair and righteous, just so she can employ plausible deniability and claim 'you never said anything' when she violates expectations that any normal person would have.

If you want a man of value and you want to keep him, work on yourself first. Hurt people hurt people. Give yourself time to heal, develop, and be alone before going to seek out a quality guy. Too often yall think finding a decent guy will absolve the past and make you a new & different person and that just doesn't happen 90% of the time. Most have that rebound guy on hold, or seek out a decent guy right off the back because they want to fill that void instantly, and in the process hurt some of these guys that aren't broken themselves. Thus the cycle of hurt continues.

Ok you finally said it, finally said something to hold some women accountable. There are good men & women, also people grow and mature after the fact. See Devastation changes things in life it will make a bad man good & vice versa. The lack of Love, affection, understanding, support, too much mouth can make a person go elsewhere. I say people are either needy or greedy sometimes maybe both. Most people havent found that true one, they settle for what they think is the right one but its not and you be in search of or something is missing. Oh my but when you find that True one Boom!! No more BS . Don't beat yourself up or let people brand you. Sometimes they just arent enough and that person is better for someone else. Don't let a person make u feel like a piece of shit. They just not The Shit for you. Learn & know that and lets stop all the damn hurt. Be true to You & you'll be true to them w less pain. REAL Love is where its at, most just havent truly truly found it.

Something I needed to hear today. I am in my first long distance relationship. By far the hardest relationship I have ever been in. Reason being, I usually walk away from a man If I dont feel that i'm getting what i need from him, or I see red flags. This time I'm trying something different by listening to what he has to say (which is typically genuine) and giving him the benefit of the doubt and trying be compassionate and understanding of everything he has going on in his life right now (practically single father of 3, even though neither of them live with him). I have been in toxic relationships in the past which drives my reason for not settling for less than whats best for me. I have tried to break off the relationship with this guy on numerous occasions, but he is determined to try and hold us together by saying, "be patient with me, I will fix what bothers you." or "Its been awhile since ive been in a relationship, be patient with me". Yet still continues the small inconsiderate behavior. With that behavior comes my complaints and at times lashing out.... which creates more issues between us (or drama as he puts it). So at this point I'm unsure if I should remain quiet and peaceful or just call it quits and move on.

Because everyone knows a good thing when they see it, and secondly, how to behave towards someone is primarily determined by choice. Basically one should avoid dating women who are above a certain age (number withheld) because they come with a lot of baggage, emotionally, psychologically and biologically. Wow another informative video and because of the title it's probably one of the least commented because people can't be honest with themselves. They'd rather be bitter and not accept responsibility. Yes some people have terrible partners but for those who don't and fall into the category of what Mr.Derrick is saying are too prideful to admit, yes I have an attitude problem. Yes I could contribute less to arguing with my partner because of the simple fact I like to argue or I'm projecting my previous relationships on my partner. Anyways great wisdom!

And this is why people need to take time to heal & regroup while they are single rather than just jump into a new relationship, even if it means getting help when we dont want to. Had an ex like this a long time ago & let all the hurt fester in her for years & thought just being in a new relationship alone would fix everything

You're absolutely right. A man leaves because he's tired of comprising and going beyond. He leaves because he doesn't have the support and encouragement. I believe when a man walks away, he's done everything he can to fix it. I'm a wife of 18 years with my husband. I had to step up, step back, and step aside.

If someone is good to you stay with them and if someone is toxic then get rid of that person

Absolutely. #1 problem with women is they won't get counseling so they can be good enough to be with a good man.
