thank you. I flew today in my dream. I now have less fear of flying and a bit more awareness. I ground myself more in my dream. speaking out loud is still a bit difficult. may need even more awareness to be able to do it. I have my focus back on lucid dreaming by the way. I am lucky to know this channel and not those misinformation channels. that I learn lucid dreaming the right way

Jim, firstly, thank you so much! - Secondly, brilliant, well done! - Flying is a really good sign that you're getting comfortable with lucid dreaming and dream control - plus it's just far too much fun! So glad to hear you have your focus back. These things can fluctuate - that's normal - but you've already beaten most people by sticking at it!

We remember that we successfully reality checked in our dream, but remember nothing after, probably lost lucidity really quickly again. We just realized, there’s this weird spiral feeling we get during a false awakening or loosing lucidity sometimes, but it’s a similar feeling to the strong feeling of dissociation we get in waking life sometimes during high emotional stress or excitement. Yesterday we were awake and before bed, the spiral feeling was there, we were talking with the people in our body, as usual for us before bed, and just for a minute it felt like Max went somewhere else and the person we were talking to was alone, but just for a minute, then we came back, we were both scared, and went to talk to our partner about it. We realized that minute where it felt like we stopped existing was also directly after a heightened emotional response from our head friend. We have wondered for some time if we have a severe dissociative disorder. At this time we are diagnosed with dissociative type complex ptsd among other things. From a spiritual perspective we just say we’re possessed usually.

Since it's been the summertime (which means no college for me), I've been very much on autopilot, just following routines and not really honing in or practicing my critical thinking skills. I've been in this drifty day dreaming stage most of the summer, mostly thinking about fantasy and things that can't happen in waking life. I often get carried away during those as well, leading to just being lazy, both mentally and physically. And guess what? My lucid dreams have plummeted and all the lost work I'm putting in is leading to mixed results. I haven't jumped to any "guaranteed lucid dreams" type of videos as I've been on this channel long enough to know that it promotes the negative, but my headspace is very much lazy at this point. I will also restate what was in the video - there is no one cut and dry path for everyone. Even when I was having consistent and good quality lucid dreams, I still felt like what I doing wasn't right, which ultimately lead to a bit of burn out. It's easy to resort to doing nothing at this stage but the end result (lack of a better term) is worth it. I still need to find out what works the best for me and that's going to require breaking the lazy mindset. Great video and a good wake up call. I've been getting back on track with reality checks, trying to remember to so at least one per hour (as a base). Hopefully my lucids start coming back!

I believe that with time and experimenting I will figure out witch techniques match me and will start to focus on them. But before experimenting I should learn more. I must admit that I don’t read or watch about lucid dreaming as much as I should and would like to because there is always something I would like and something I would like better. Maybe it’s also the fact that I often just wanna escape reality forever which stops me since lucid dreaming and reality are so thigh-knotted… did you ever wanna escape reality and if, how did you handle lucid dreaming at the same time?

interesting video. but i find it hard to do critical thinking so far because i suffer from brainfog. I dont know if that happened because due to lack of sleep, drinking overexessive coffee, alcohol in the weekends or overindulging on facebook reels and youtube shorts (wich are mostly TikTok videos on different platforms). maybe its even a combination of more of these. also sugarcravings kill my momentum of beeing in the moment since i think a lot about junkfood lately and the cravings are unbearable most of the times and then i gave up and eat sugary or saly foods again. maybe the sugar also gives me brainfog. but Critical Thinking as of right now is just impossible. On the other hand... I had a Lucid Dream just this week, but because i was way too excited to make a portal my dream faded in about thirty seconds and i cant recall much of the False Awakening afterwards. i can recall that i first dreamed about flying and got lucid because of this and i flew some little bit more and loving the scenery. i suddenly went in a room were i wanted to make a portal but the excitement OR the work i had to do to make the portal got the better of me and woke up in another hazier dream. after i woke up i had conflicted emotions. In a way i was happy i finaly had a lucid dream after almost a full month of no luck but in the other hand i got a bit frustrated from the fact that it was way too short of a lucid dream to even call it succesfull. also it was a hazey dream and not realy that vivid. i just remembered parts of the dream but every small bit counts right?! because this lucid dream this week i am a bit hopefull that i can still lucid dream despite the brainfog i'm having.

I've had lucid dreaming so many times i lost count. He was out of hand. I would tell my x if he felt me touching him so he can wake me up, he said no. There were evil Spirits i couldn't see, but was wrestling me on the ground I've had out of body experiences as well where i went to hell. I have to elevate my frequency so to make sure when i pass i go into a high asteral dimension. So much has happened to me. I could write a book. I wish i knew someone who understands this that lives close. Ive had someone talk to me from behind twice. A man's voice said, say a command and a ladies voice sounded urgent. Both times i had something devastating happen. I don't want to end up in a lower astral. I surely don't want to leave my body. Nor have lucid dreaming. But, i did look at those double doors wondering if i should open it. I couldn't so i ran to my bed sat down and woke up instantly. It was just too vivid.

@@LucidDreamPortal exploring my dreams when i'm lucid is very fun and its easier to follow the dreamplot with the knowledgde that you're lucid to stay longer in the dream. everytime i try to do crazy stuff (like this last week creating a portal and flying) my dreams become very hazey and i wake up faster than you can say Dream. so most of my succesfull lucid dreams were dreams that i followed the dream while sometimes talking to characters that they are in My Lucid Dream.

I learned to lucid dream through trial and error. I used to think that keeping my mind awake while my body was asleep was the answer, but it wasn't. I wasted so many hours doing it. Then I learned that it was misinformation. After that, I had my first WILD using SSILD. I still use SSILD to this day. I took a break from SSILD for a while and tried other things like MILD and RCs, but they didn't work as well as SSILD did. You've got to stick with what works for you.

I'd say it's essentially inevitable and unavoidable, as it's quite a standard function of the mind. That said, we need to recognise it and break the habit, as it's that process which leads to lucidity (the regained awareness flavour)

I sometimes get sleep paralysis. A few years ago, I only felt suffocated and heard high-pitched sounds, which were tolerable. However, after two years, when I regained the intrest to have lucid dreams, I experienced sleep paralysis again, but this time the pain was too intense. It felt like a sharp rod was digging into my spinal cord 😭. I tried to calm myself down and imagine a beautiful park where I was sitting, so that I could convert it into a lucid dream, but the pain did not go away. It came in cycles with two-second intervals 😥😰😰. I am desperate to find a solution to this problem, as very few people on the internet seem to have it. Please help me!please any solution evry time i getting sleep paralysis i am loosing the chance of becoming lucid because of this please help me 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hi theweirdduck. Just to clear something up, WILD isn't a technique - that's a common misunderstanding - it's an outcome of a technique (lucid dreams come in two flavours, DILDs or WILDs, and there are different techniques to induce either of them). The best thing I can recommend is dive into the other videos here on the channel, your question is requires an answer that needs way more than a comment :)

I’ve tried for many years to have a lucid dream and have tried different types of methods to see which work best for me, but I’ve never been able to have one happen. So I’m beginning to wonder if I’m not able to have a lucid dream (or to even dream at all) if I’ve tried all that I could think of with no results.

@LucidDreamPortal

It contradicts everything we know about science, the brain, and the universe. The experience, as described, is almost identical to Wake-Initiated Lucid Dreaming (only with the wrong conclusion drawn). So in my opinion, it's mostly new-age nonsense. That said, there are still mysteries to consciousness, but we should base our opinions and views on evidence rather than beliefs.
