Wow. That Noble & Cooley is so unique. Notice how almost pre-eq‘d those toms sound, no harsh attack, just round and warm, but a satisfying fundamental note. Brilliant. The Gretsch Catalina is - as often - probably the value for money.

I agree I listened to every kit and I’ve never even heard of this company Very full sound,I have always played high end Pearl Kits but if I was in the market I would but that set Sonor kit for me was a little disappointing for me,they were always a secret weapon type of kit they always sounded good but for whatever the reason not many people played them I’d say around 90 they had a maple snare 6.5 X 14 that couldn’t be beat what a great snare that was! I could watch these vids for hours thanks for posting this

@user-jz5db7dh9l The Catalina is a quality set around the $1K mark with a good # of drums. Tama Superstar Classic is another. Yamaha Stage Custom Birch is probably the best kit in this segment. 5 piece kit for around $850. Add a 14" floor tom and an 8" and you're right around the $1150 mark which is a killer price and better than most of us had as a "beginner" kit when we were learning to play.

I think the standouts to me were the Noble and Cooley and British. I love Gretsch, and am probably biased. Also a Sonor fan, and they sounded amazing, too. The surprise in the mix was the Gretsch Catalinas, and not because I am a Gretsch nut. They really performed well above their pay grade. What I think would be fun is to do such a video but have the audio mismatched and not tell us until later which sounds were associated with which drums.
