Peterson is awesome, but I keep it at home for when I do my setups. Korgs are on my pedalboards as they offer great quality for lower prices (gone up in the past year or two, but you used to be able to get them for dirt cheap new, let alone second hand).

I'd love you see you do a video using one of this mini keyboards I've seen you use before I know nothing about them. What you were using it for was so cool

Its a very easy question, the Peterson mini is the best tuner on the market atm

Hi Rob. Do you use the built-in tuner in STL ToneHub? Or do you instead start by tuning with your boss pedal before you plug into your audio interface?
@RobArnoldWorld
Жыл бұрын
Good question! I actually have a Korg DTR-2000 in my audio rack, that I hit before my interface. So when I'm doing anything involving playing my guitar into my computer, I first hit the Korg, which feeds into my UAD Apollo interface, then Pro Tools, and then I use my amp sims within Pro Tools. I have tried STL's tuner though in the past, and it works just fine!

Rob MFing Arnold!! Hows it going my friend? I have a gear related question. I play a guitar with an emg 81 pickup and a boss katana with a vintage 30 speaker in it. And when i use pedals it dosnt sound anything like what i want it too.. am i using the wrong channels on the amp? (Clean or distorted) or am i just dialling in the pedal wrong? (Tone, volume, level) i know its hard to judge without hearing but through your experience what advice can you give. I know your tones are a 6505 with no pedals but i feel like the katana needs the extra kick. Its still a good tone but just not quite there. For reference my favourite tones are TIOR and the more things change. Thanks buddy! You’re the man!

Yo Scotty! I guess I'd need to hear more about your signal chain. What's going into what, and in what order. I think OD pedals are fools gold! (Sorry if I've offended anyone!)

Dude, you've never heard of Snark & you don't own anything from TC Electronic? I stopped watching right there at 4:20 when you revealed those two bombshells. What are we listening to you for if you have no experience in guitar pedals/effects?

Are there even any "bad tuners"? If we dont consider ergonimics (by wat of use) and esthetics..?
@RobArnoldWorld

I think some feely cheaply made, and others don't. So I guess that's what I'd consider the difference to be.

Yes, there are many bad tuners on Amazon. Some headstock tuners use vibrations, some use a mic, and some use both.

My poly tune lost the function of strum all in 6 months and is ok but no support. Boss is the ticket as discussed by Rob.

I have the silver snark for my clip on tuner and then use the behringer TU 300 as my pedal tuner. I am interested in the new snark air tuner going to look more into. And I will be honest I never knew about the strobe turners and how they worked. Thanks for that cause now I'm interested in learning more about it.

Let me save you all the hassle. On stage tuner is laggy. Boss tuner is obsolete, which is why they came out with the Waza craft version which is overpriced. The Ibanez big mini is great, as well as the PolyTune. Either of those two will be the best out of this list.
