I would recommend Flaming Gorge. It does have lots of real estate to bank fish but that lake is better if you are on a boat.

One of my favorite spots for fish is midview reservoir and that is very close to my home. And they have a few different kinds of fish there. Walleye, trout, and bass. Kind of a small lake but pretty good fishing.

Panguitch lake at one time would have been at the top of your list. Now because of all the cabin septic tanks, it's more like fishing in a sewer lagoon. Algae blooms are so bad, signs are posted telling people do not touch the water. Remember it 50+ years as a clear, beautiful lake. Now i won't eat fish caught out of it.😥

I agree. Ever since the fire it has not been the best. These days I can’t go there without seeing a local hassle someone from Vegas. Even many decades ago my grandparents said the trout out of Panguich tasted funny. Fishing “ice-off” is still the best time.

The fire is what caused the algae blooms. Septic tank issue is a fable! The lake holds alot of huge Tiger and cutthroat for those in the know.

Dude, it has been RIDICULOUS this year. It's been raining at least once a week so far. The local reservoirs are all full almost to overflowing, and we have a couple inches of snow melt runoff still left to come. Then, there'll be summer monsoons later in the season which will give us even more water.
@tiltfishing27

@@kevinmencer3782 Agreed! It's been a crazy year. Hopefully all this water will help all the reservoir and fish bounce back for years to come!

Not really. Either places everybody knows (Green and the Provo, which are both miles and miles long, you could never fish it all) or massive bodies of water where you could spend your entire life trying to actually find the fish. Boulder mountains is an entire mountain range with lots and lots of fishable streams.
