CONNECTICUT? NOT EVEN CLOSE! i just left there...beside taxes and high property costs..your neighbors or the town officials will hound you daily.

Northern Florida is the only place on this list you can grow year round. Have enough chill hours for fruit trees, grow citrus, avocados and brassicas in the winter and the traditional summer garden varieties in the summer. Central northern florida, away from the Coast and hurricanes. If there were no canning lids to buy one day, I sure wouldn’t want to be in Alaska I want to know that there’s always something growing that I can eat in a worst case scenario

@@renehill3351 Arizona is one of the worst states for off-grid solar. The laws are written to make it illegal for a home not to be connected to the electric grid. On top of that, Arizona charges a “solar tax” to people with grid-connected solar.

@@Nightowl5454 not sure where you get your info. but thats not true. I have a lot of friends that live there and are doing it off grid and have solar. Where are you getting your info? besides New Mexico Arizona is like a mecca for this lifestyle. Even just a simple google search will tell you your wrong. People all over Arizona live off grid with solar with no problem. I even asked my friends after you commented and none of them have even heard of being required to be connected to the grid...thats just flat out completely incorrect.

i think you have your states mixed up. Arizona is one of the best states for solar/ off grid/ homesteading states out there.

Let’s see: No work in Michigan, that’s pays a decent salary. Arizona main issue is WATER, it’s a desert! Montana is NOT CHEAP! Low wages and can have very long periods of drought. Tennessee is very expensive because everyone has been moving there for quite a while! No work in WV either and it’s pretty expensive! Oregon super liberal, low wages and expensive land prices! I wish people that made these videos knew what they were talking about and knew how to pronounce the states! Florida is cheap? No it’s not and the cost of living is expensive! Lots of people have moved there in recent years and lots are moving out!

Idaho is ruined ! Over populated and there simply is not enough of an employment infrastructure to support yourself cuz land and homes are expensive! I lived in most of these states and know what I’m talking about. KY has bad drug problems and pretty bad healthcare!
