OMG ATTENTION EVERYONE ONCE I READ THIS QUOTE FROM MATTY "this song is about a girl (friend) that i had. and she was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. i loved her but she didnt feel the same way. i dont even think she knew i loved her. this song is about the times i had with her. as she and i became close friends, we had traditions. it was kinda like our think yah know? we'd somehow coincidently be out at exactly 102 am, so that was our thing. now whenever im awake at 102 am i think of her and i let her go." I ALWAYS USED TO WONDER WHAT SONG THIS IS FROM AND NOW I KNOW THANK YOU Oscar Remers.

E Molloy lol could be, it could be just one of those rando “quotes” I read which came from non credible source, now that I’m older I realise somebody could have just made that up

Matty said "This is another fake quote. House number was 102. I was 15 when I wrote it I was NOT talking like that lol" on reddit about this. www.reddit.com/r/the1975/comments/gruxqs/i_always_think_of_this_and_it_breaks_me/fs2m93r/?context=3

Well we’re here We’re at the common again Smoked six of the ten fags that I only bought an hour ago Said well I I like the look of your shoes I like the way that your face looks when I’m arguing with you And so when, when we all grow old I hope this song will remind you that I’m not half as bad as what You’ve been told And when I knock At one hundred and two And I see your pyjamas I can’t stop smiling at you And that’s why we're here We’re at the common again I’ve been pouring my heart out Towards your optimistic grin Said well I, I I like the cut of your jib I like the way that your face looks When you’re yapping on about him But on this shirt I found your smell And I just sat there for ages Contemplating what to do with myself I called you up At one hundred and two We just sat there for ages Talking about that boy What was getting onto you You

After reading the lyrics and Matty's quote. I can relate to this song so much. I am a girl and I had this guy friend. We became very close because we had the same kind of sense of humour and we like to talk about life, death, our pasts, and anything. We used to stay up late just texting. From doing our schoolwork, to talking about dreams and life. I miss those days... at 11:11 p.m. we would both make a wish together. And during the weekends if we were at our own home, we would discuss and plan our midnight snack together. It's childish and silly of us to do so. One day, we played a game that we created on our own which we called ' Don't believe everything I say '. We can tell lies or our secrets to each other freely because we won't believe everything we say to each other. He confessed to me that he was madly in love with me. I thought that he was lying so I told him the same thing. He smiled and kissed me. I was shook so I pushed him away. I told him that I didn't mean it. Little did I know, he meant what he said. We never talk to each other after that incident. And he continued being himself playing rugby and being good at it. There are times that he would stare at me when I walk past the field when he had training. And sometimes I caught him looking at me when I was waiting for my parents to fetch me after school. I'm still sad because if what happened between us. I just don't feel the same way that he does for me.
