TLDR: I love the passion and the idea behind what Matty did at their performance in Malaysia, but especially in places where the government is so anti-LGBTQ+ we need to be aware of what will actually make a difference. I absolutely agree that the discrimination and hate should be called out but ultimately this outburst will probably not do much for the community it’s supposed to be for (at least not in the near future).
