$275 per person is not an outrageous price as fancy restaurants go tough. There are wine bottles that cost more, college books that you’ll never use that cost more, some people pay that a month for car insurance. $275 is easily a grocery bill or a regular restaurant meal if you have kids and don’t order just from the specials. It’s not cheap but it’s way cheaper than many other “lifetime experiences” you can buy out there. Less than Disneyland or a boat trip.

You can literally make the same courses for 100 bucks at home with the same portions, the only thing you can’t do is have a fully staffed kitchen, especially necessary to have a finisher and expediter. Food should speak for itself, it shouldn’t need a whole presentation. If your thing is to play with your food, then by all means this place is awesome, but if you want a good dining experience you should hit the hole in the wall places around town.

It's generally a few bites at most, that's $10 a course. You’d think so but you’d be surprised. I’ve been to a one-Michelin star in Asturias, Spain, as well as a restaurant in Quito, Ecuador that will absolutely get a star if Michelin goes there. One was 11 courses, the other was 9. I can say you end up positively stuffed by the end. You see the first course and think “this ain’t shit”, but then it keeps coming and by the 7th or 8th course you’re like “this is incredible but holy shit I’m gonna explode”. And I’m 6’4” 200lbs. Both experiences were absolutely worth the price in every way imaginable. Service, food, presentation, everything absolutely spectacular. In case anyone is ever curious, the one in Asturias was El Corral del Indianu, in Quito it was Nuema. Nuema in particular I can’t recommend highly enough (also because I used to live in Ecuador and I will always love that country). 9 food courses + 4 alcohol courses for $110, Michelin-quality food, amazing service in a very down to earth and friendly way. Me and my friends ended up staying after closing and buying the whole staff a few rounds while hanging out with them so I gotta say the bill did run up quite a bit tho

That's not how fine dining works, dude. Just because every dish isn't super-sized and greasy doesn't mean you won't be getting full🙄. Everything is planned to give you the most optimal experience of flavor, aroma, quality ingredients and an experience you cannot just recreate at home. Fine dining establishments take at LEAST 1.5 hours to eat everything. Ive been to places where it took 2.5 hrs to go through the courses. If you see a small dish, you bet your aṣṣ you're meant to have several dishes along with it. Each complementing the last. Maybe you should try going to a fine dining restaurant instead of making assumptions.. 🤦🏻♀️
