On an all-new episode of Like We Never Left, SNY reunites many of the pitchers who helped deliver a special 2000 season for the New York Mets, which started in Japan and ended in the World Series.
Al Leiter, Mike Hampton, Glendon Rusch, John Franco, Turk Wendell, and Pat Mahomes get back together to tell stories about the opening series in Japan, the clashes with John Rocker and the Braves, the Mike Piazza/Roger Clemens battles, the run through the playoffs, and facing the Yankees in the Subway Series which made New York the center of the baseball world.
About Like We Never Left:
During this year, what do we have to keep us connected? We have shared experiences and video conferencing. SNY combines these 2 things to create a content series that can resonate with New York sports fans during these unprecedented times.
'Like We Never Left' will reunite a group of people via video conference, a group of people who have a past connection through New York sports that we can take advantage of in the present. By seeing them together again, having them share stories, reveal secrets, and celebrate their history and fandom, we tap into the nostalgia and the thrill of these figures coming back to each other in an intimate and exclusive setting.
