I have this exact same car ;same colour too. I bought it new in Dec 2004. The SE V6 is the best car of all time! Its V6 is smooth like butter, and very powerful. Handles like a sports car. Very nice interior and trunk is huge. Its lots of fun to drive. Exceleration is amazing. Over 19 years and very little maintenance required. Try to find a better car, but you won't.

FYI: The 3MZ engine will give you 15+ horses with premium gas. The original SE suspension should be very stiff and tight. I guess the previous owner had replaced the shocks with OEM ones. Genuine parts for Gen5 Camry SE has been quite difficult to find already becuase SE trim was not more than 5% back then. I am still driving exactly the same Camry in Korea, and still it performs 185hp/27.5kgfm with 91 gas on dyno.

I had a 2008 Lexus Ls460 several years ago and sold it. I bought a 2006 Toyota Camry LE V6 with the 3.0 engine as a beater car until I found the right 2013+ LS460 for sale. 4 1/2 years later and it's my main car 😄. So relaxing owning a car with few electronics to fail. Low maintenance and relaxing to drive. The V6 really makes it special. It has sneaky sleeper power and many drivers are probably surprised by it when I pass them. 2002-2006 are the last of the best old school Camry.

I used to have a 2005 Toyota Camry Ateva. I engine swapped it for the higher compressed and slightly larger Sportivo 2AZ-FE and it's based on this car. Maybe a little better. The two rear speakers above the rear seats were actually from stock in Australia Kenwood dedicated subwoofers. Depending on where you live, resulted on your audio setup. In Australia we got Kenwood stock, in America was JBL, early Japanese models were fitted from what I believe to be Pioneer.

I need one of these cars so bad. I would love to run an intercooler small single turbo set up and run maybe 6 lbs of boost through it, maybe hope for 300 hp and a bunch of torque like these motors are. I think that would be a lot of fun. of course I’d need to to completely custom because there’s no real turbo kits for this car. Dad used to have one and even stock it could max out the speedo at 140. Beautiful quirky car.

I love my 2002 Camry but mine was the le with the 2.4. Super comfortable reliable and the build quality was great and I don’t know if anyone else corrected you but this is the 5th gen Camry and the one you’re reviewing is the 5.5 refresh. The 5th gen was the last gen they went all out on in my opinion. Even the base trim came with a full size spare. I drove its predecessors the 6th gen 2011 the 7th gen 2016 and the new 8th 2023 and the only one comparable to the 5th gen in comfort and ride quality is the new 8th gen in the le trim. These Camrys are known for longevity and reliability mine still ran like a brand new car when it was totaled at 300,000 miles. I replaced it with a 7th gen accord se and I can say I made a downgrade big time

I have a 2006 with the 4 cylinder. Didn't know much about them when I bought it. Thought it was just some boring looking sedan, but the price was right. Have had it like 6 years now, change the oil every 3000 miles, thing is solid as a rock. Brake pads and an alternator are the only repairs. Always keeping my eye open for a Highlander from that year with the same engine and front wheel drive. Basic, non-flashy vehicles that never break down.

Correction: this is the 5th gen Camry, 6th gen is from 2007-2011, 7th gen is from 2012-2014, 7.5 from 2015 -2017. The 7.5 gen is different enough from the early 7th gen to be called the 8th gen, IMO. Oh, BTW, the SE wasn't the top trim, that was the XLE. So the trims were LE, SE, XLE (not sure if there was a CE trim with the 5th generation, that was the base in the 4th generation).

The 2002 to 2006 are still my favorite body styles to this day. I know you made this video a year ago, but just some info about the car (I know way, way to much about the 5th gen Camry) The rear sunshade was an option on the SE an XLE, the gauge orange color is specific to the SE, and the JBL stereo was only had 6 speakers with no sub, the 5 speed manual was standard with the 2.4 engine in the SE, and the 3 spoke steering wheel was only available for the SE. I currently drive a 2005 Camry LE V-6 but mine has the 3.0 V-6. The 3.3 wasn't available in the LE or the XLE.

Toyota Camry is very popular in the Gulf especially in my country Saudi Arabia and you can find it everywhere and it is in good condition so far. If I can find a 2002 thru 2015 thats in decent condition either with a 4 or 6 cylinder, I'll surely buy it!! Time for my 11' Chevy Cruze to go! Way too many problems out of it. Should've bought a Toyota in the first place.

In 2005 they killed the Camry in Europe 😢 In 2019 it was reintroduced as a hybrid only. I drive a 2001 2.2 automatic 😊
