Pretty well done video. I'm a Mercedes guy, but I have to admit you've done an excellent job of presenting the Ford. In particular, you showed the interior dims for the various models as well as the package numbers for some of the options. The interior dims in particular are something very few sales people mention (or know frankly) and it is very important to those who use these vehicles for a living. Good job.

Very informative.. However ford has shut down orders on these transits, Ive looked all over the country for a 2023 350 AWD high top and there are some out there but the dealers have marked them up at least $15,000 above MSRP. I’m not sure why ford would let dealers gouge the consumers like this. I love my 2021 250 which I purchased for the MSRP price with a $1000 up fit incentive at the time. I just want to simply upgrade my Van with a larger AWD model but Ford unfortunately has giving me no other choice than to look elsewhere. Thanks for your Video.
@CarsWithSteve

Thanks! The order banks sometimes open and close depending on time of year and volume of orders. 350 Transits are incredibly hard to come by as a stock unit so a factory order is really the only way to get one. Ford corporate has put out memos to dealers to not sell above MSRP but until people stop paying it, they're continued to be incentivized to do it. Check with a high volume dealer in your area, even if that means driving an hour. They normally sell at or just below MSRP to entice buyers and get volume bonuses to offset the MSRP

Thank you for this in depth review. My interest is in having this converted to a class B RV. With that in mind, I would be most interested in the high roof option. To your knowledge, that the high roof cause any legal limitations in the road? I have the same question with the dual rear wheels. What are the downsides with this selection? Thank you vert much.
@CarsWithSteve
Жыл бұрын
You're welcome! No limitations with the high roof as far as I know.. these things are converted all the time, they're driven on streets all over North America without issue. When you get the dual wheels there are a few pros and cons.. Pros: more stability to the ride, higher GVWR Cons: slightly worse fuel economy, losing a bit of rear interior space If you don't absolutely need the dually for increased weight the single wheel is probably more than enough!

I'm so disappointed. Yes, I can use an app on my phone--it's not as convenient as an actual stereo.😡

Why do Americans call all fuels Gas? I just don't get it. A car either uses petrol, diesel or LPG which is liquified petroleum gas. So why classify all fuels by calling it Gas? You confuse the hell out of those of us who know it as fuel. Your car needs fuel not gas 😂😂😂
@CarsWithSteve
10 ай бұрын
I'm Canadian.. And I've never heard anyone say I'm going to put "fuel" in my car or that they're going to the "fuel" station. In Canada we say we're going to put "gas" in the car regardless of whether it's petrol, diesel or otherwise. Outside of North America it may be the petrol station but "gas" is implied that it's specific to your car's needs. Yes the car needs some kind of fuel 🙃 but we know what that means

@@CarsWithSteve Yes, Central Ohio. I went to talk to another dealer yesterday in a smaller town. They said the only thing I can get is electric Ford Vans (Had 2 on the lot). The gas powered are not even available to order until 2024. They had a customer order one in 2021 and he STILL does not have it. And the e-van is a joke. 110 miles on a charge? Are you kidding me? That will not even get you to the next town in some states. If Ford has that kind of demand on vans, why are they not ramping up production?
@CarsWithSteve
Жыл бұрын
That's really surprising.. Dealers up here are told the opposite with gas being available and eTransit years out. Ford has a new electric factory opening in the US later this year and the idea would be to bring battery production and re-conditioning to North America. New battery tech should come in the next few years too but it doesn't solve the short term need that businesses have. Hopefully availability changes but it may still be a while before it does
