Stop saying 'FASTER' when you really mean 'QUICKER ' . Faster refers to maximum speed. Quicker refers to HOW LONG it takes to reach maximum speed.

Most people dont use frunks because most manufacturers don't make them easy to use. You often have to go into the car cabin and press a button, or use a latch like with a normal hood. Give the user a power frunk with a button on the key fob, and more people would use them.

Doug’s take on this for a *general* consumer is perfect. Get it if there’s a good deal. By the time the lease is up, Honda will have their own electric car model out. If you’re really picky, cross shop with the other cars like the Mach E. For those who read into more details, there are some well known and lesser known advantages of the Honda/Acura over its competitors, and even against its siblings in GM. 1. Apple CarPlay and Android auto. As Doug already mentioned, GM will not have that as an option for any of their vehicles. 2. Resale value. The Prologue will be worth more at the end of a lease versus the Blazers or Equinox equivalent, just because it says Honda. 3. Materials and quality. Doug mentioned that it is about the same as Chevy, but Honda actually adds a lot more testing and validation for its components. Despite the cars being assembled in a GM factory, there are specific engineers from Honda assigned to each model. Additionally, Honda only uses proven materials like genuine leather. Synthetic leather is exclusively used by Tesla, and most GM models. Of course, the prologue still has stiff competition from other brands and I don’t think these points are enough to sway everyone or anyone cross shopping.

I'm astounded that there are people out there who are so committed to a brand that they're willing to spend $50k for a "relatively okay" and "fine, but not great" car. It would be one thing if we were talking about a blender but it's wild to me that people don't research the heck out of one of the most expensive purchases of their lives. It would also make more sense if it was a luxury car because presumably some buyers of those have so much money that it hardly matters how much value they're getting for their money. Surely most sales of this car will be Honda fans who are willing to buy without having researched much or who don't care that it isn't particularly competitive. I'm just surprised that those people exist at all.

For those that argue 0-60 don't mean jack in an SUV. An underpowered SUV like this Prologue is in a huge disadvantage merging onto a highway at a much lower speed than the rest of the traffic flow. You will also be passing at a much slower pace alongside all the other much quicker cars. You are at a much higher probability of being rear ended because of your slow speed. You do the math.

They didn't have an EV ready for the revolution, so they cribbed off GM's paper. The only one getting screwed is the traditional Honda customer who walks into a GM without fair warning.

The reason people don't use the frunk is because they forget it is there. Everyone is still use to just using the trunk or the back seat for stuff like groceries.

Honda's greatest asset is also its greatest impediment in today's consumer, automotive world, i. e., it is, first and foremost, an ENGINEering-centric automaker, with amenities like infotainment taking a backseat. And I readily confess I admire it for that.

It’s a cool sales strategy, don’t be the first, come to the market a little later with a product that fixes all the bugs of whoever was first.
