I’ve watched 15+ of these first impression videos and you win for not complaining about having to look at the center screen for speed. Every single other one complained about it lol.

I agree it is nice to see someone not complaining about the center screen. My son bought one of the first Tesla model 3 in 2017 and I flew with him to Toronto to pick it up. As a 70 year old senior I could not help but comment to him on the lack of physical buttons/knobs for functions. Six years later, he loves the touch screen and I have to admit that I have changed my opinion. It just requires getting used to it. BTW, I have reserved an ultra rear wheel drive for myself so I am definitely not concerned about the center screen.

@@richardpurves387 awesome to hear. People complain before even giving new things a try! Plus there are voice controls. Nice to have options!

Nice to see this from a Canadian perspective. Since I live in the one part of the country that rarely gets snow, I can save the money on the rear wheel drive version.

$53,700 to start in Canada for a made in Cheena EV. They should have downsized the price at the same time they downsized the vehicle. Who needs a $60k car to go shopping?

As usual a $6k MSRP surcharge for being Canadian. It kind of negates the federal incentive.😢

Thanks for a succinct, informative review of this vehicle. And by the way, I could tell you were driving just to the west of Barcelona because of the mountain range just behind you.😊

Note that the base model omits a heat pump. Hooefully Volvo won't try to import that version to Canada, or sales will advise against ordering them without one.

@@autotrader_ca Total BS as the single motor standard range with the LFP battery does not come with heat pump and the only way to spec a heat to opt for extended range models

Why are we not making single motor FWD EV cars? Is it just an upsell gimmick to get you to buy two motors. What these car makers need to do is get away from the $54K price where you can get a Tesla Y. Price it at $50 and now you can call it competitive.

When the EX30 was initially annouced, I was excited about its performance and price ($35k USD). Now in Canada, it cost $53.7k CAD!?? In that case, I would look else where to buy bigger EVs with less money.

Sometimes manufacturers call them a year newer as it makes it feel cutting edge and creates more “value”. Realistically some were probably built in 2023. 😂
