I love my 6 liter humidifier! It has a little section at the bottom where you can add essential oils which I find very beneficial for my plants. And, it wasn’t expensive.

I've had the Levoit 6L (bottom fill) since November 2021, and I love mine. It does the job, makes no noise - but, it's quite difficult to clean properly with all the small parts and crevices.

Thanks for all your great content, dude! When it comes to humidity, is there an element of “something is a lot better than nothing?” Like, is it worth considering a larger or more easy to clean model or whatever, even if it may not be optimal, but is better than nothing at all?

That Govee looks pretty awesome. I use the Honeywell Top Fill Cool Mist Humidifier, I like it a lot, it top fill but you can also remove the reservoir to fill in the tub. Just a simple dial but refilling is my biggest issue with humidifiers. It also shoots the mist up instead of just dribbling down like a lot of the stupid humidifiers out on the market (*cough* The LEVOIT*cough*)

Is it ok to use normal water with this humidifiers? It would be too expensive to use with distilled water. Do use tap water?

Unfortunately all of these humidifiers are hard to clean and I have to returned many of them. The one I use (brand is called Miro) has all washable parts and a great output of mist with several settings, a timer, and one of the models has even an LED night lamp. It’s just not worth it to spend long time cleaning your humidifier. I spend 15 minutes cleaning my whole entire machine (which ensures is all cleaned and not just some parts), and that amount of time includes dissembling, washing, and assembling again. Highly recommend anyone to look into this machine first 🤷🏻♀️

I don't think most people are willing to spend nearly 4 times the amount of money upfront to save an extra 15 minutes per week for their plants. They seem like good products but I the price barrier is why I kept Miro off the list.

@@KillThisPlant I disagree. Elechomes and Levoit aren’t affordable. And giving different price point options can be useful for many. A lot of people are willing to invest in a good performing and healthier humidifier. If you are going to invest the money, buying something that’s practical and highly functional can be very useful. I wish I would have found Miro before buying all the problematic humidifiers I bought before. It would have saved me a lot of time and money. But this is my personal opinion. I’m sure many out there are as frustrated with difficult humidifiers as I am 🤷🏻♀️

@@KillThisPlant and by the way, Miro goes on sale usually 30-40% off on amazon during almost every major holiday. That’s how I bought mine for much less.

Hey, great video. I have that Govee hygrometer. I love its capacity to collect data and send alerts when the set ranges are exceeded. However, it does not send me alerts when I take my cellphone out of range of the Bluetooth. Does it communicate with the humidifier when I have my phone out of range of both devices?
@KillThisPlant

The hygrometer still communicates with the humidifier when your phone is not in range.

@KillThisPlant

The Govee has humidity settings from 40-80% getting your specific room/home to 65% would depend on your baseline humidity and the sq footage of your room.
